They're absolutely incompetent at communication. I've literally never received a call back. I had to inform THEM that our lease was going to end soon. This required multiple emails and phone calls before we were even able to get ahold of anyone and see what the situation is. They're not personable. I get that managing a building can be difficult, but there's no excuse for treating people poorly who are just trying to obtain information that they're obligated to provide. Organization also seems to be lacking. They have major issues tracking parking stalls that are allocated to tenants, which results in double booking stalls and ends with someone getting a stall taken away from them. Customer service is by far their weakest area. Everything from the lack of communication, to the attitude we receive when speaking to them. There's zero excuse for treating a customer poorly. It's a shame because the units themselves are good places to live, the company that manages them just have no interest in helping customers and it shows through their employees.

There are not enough leasing agents and landlords to accommodate all the suites here. It was evident just from my meeting to get an apartment, how disorganized everything was. One of the leasing agents was having a bad day and being extremely unprofessional in front of me, didn't know who I was when I arrived for the meeting, started getting catty with the other leasing agent in front of me, he took over, and she began crying at a point to which I ignored. I get everyone has a bad day but that is no reason to take it out on coworkers or possible future tenants. It's not our fault if you're having a bad day. If I pulled this at my job I'd be fired. I was given mixed info on how much rent was, what was available, first saying there's 1 bedrooms in the towers and then stating there's only bachelor suites when I arrived for the viewing. They said AISH was sufficient, no issues, no problem, then they say I need a co-signer after I filled out my application. They said a personalized cheque was okay, then they change that and say they need a money order. It's so unorganized and unprofessional, it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I gave up on even following through with applying. I tried to give them a chance but the company running these buildings needs to a. Hire more leasing agents or b. Have a team meeting about organization and business etiquette. Only gave one star so I could share my experience. Really unfortunate. They're nice places but the management team does not act professional and the amount of incorrect information they give is beyond me and left me not wanting anything more to do with them. Very unprofessional.

Total scam. Pay a deposit upfront to process your application which takes five days when we were told we'd hear the next day, then they hold your deposit for another ten days when you decline the suite. They wanted a guarantor and Angie sent me the application with the WRONG ADDRESS on it and said she'd fix it after I sent it back, like I'm going to ask someone to sign something with the wrong address on it. Worst experience ever.

Ineffective on site management team. I moved out as this team failed to resolve their poorly implemented visitor parking after promising tenants they would for 18 months. Plan on going to the the Regional Office and complaining before you get your damage deposit. It took me 7 weeks after moving out. I'm sure there will be a good excuse posted below - they always have one just no action to follow up. Do not move here!

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. The leasing staff were helpful until you moved in and then were completely impossible to get ahold of. The building is always exceedingly dirty. Every maintenance request was ignored. I had to switch out my garage door opener multiple times as it malfunctioned and then a week before moving out the garage door came down on my vehicle. The property manager, Bill Eaves then blamed it on me and did absolutely nothing to get it fixed. When I asked for the footage to be able to seek legal council on the matter he sent a thumbnail sized video that showed absolutely nothing. When I asked for a full copy he began to dodge calls and not answer. When the time came to move out and all was completed, I signed all the papers and was told to wait for my Deposit cheque. I was charged for rent on the 1st of the month when I was clearly not a resident anymore. I have also been waiting a month for that deposit cheque. Strongly would not recommend living here to go through the completely unnecessary hassle that this company will put you through and they have now changed their name....

I got approved pretty quickly and Tori was really helpful throughout the entire application process.

I tried to rent from them and was guaranteed a suite for a 2 bedroom apartment and on the text message that was sent TO me, STATED: One of the following: REMEMBER: ONE of the FOLLOWING, NOT ALL!!! - Pay stubs -2020 or 2021 Tax Assessment or T4 for 2021 -Employment letter: needs to state full time/ part time, wage, and hours worked per week - Bank statement that shows 1 month, it must have your name at the top with no information blocked out. My sister and I jumped through EVERY HOOP they threw at us and was told it would be submitted, Tuesday, March 29, and we could move in April 5, AND THEN, we were told if we have paystubs, if not, he would submit as IS!!! I did ask about if we needed a co-signer but he told us UNFORTUNATELY that won't work AND THEN A DAY LATER, he ASKED if we could have someone co-sign for us. I have taken screenshots of our conversation since this all started, we were promised a suite in Edgewater, with no co-signer, only proof of income, which I provided, our t4's, my notice of assessment and they still want MORE? I am a student FULL TIME and was accepted three weeks ago, my classes start literally on April 4!!!! GET!!! YOUR!!! SH*T!!! TOGETHER!!!!!

To the internet and Hierarchy of Edgewater/Hazelview Properties; I'm Charlie Irwin. 46yrs old. I have only written 4 or 5 reviews like this in my entire life. The experience or service REALLY needs to be exceptional. In this particular instance I am at odds about the review Rating system because I am limited in how to "Distribute the Rating". Let me explain; My OVERALL experience with the Leasing Agent specifically. ? ? ? ? ?. ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT and Highly professional. If it wasn't for the Leasing Agent Tori F, I would have walked away from this Apartment. Period. The rest...well here's the review. The Protocol and Established Requirements, AND the timeline(s) to qualify for different Incentives are unrealistic. I was required to provide: 3 months Company bank statements, Proof of Business Ownership, A valid Passport and Driver's License, Multiple Invoices as Proof of Work Rendered AND of course paid the Damage Deposit up front in order to "Qualify For Current Incentive(s)" My credit rating is consistently between 760 and 780, and my Reference(s) were Perfect. ...yet my application was ONLY ACCEPTED if I agreed to, NOT enjoying my 1st Months RENT FREE, (As Advertised) and instead the LAST Month be free... A sort of "Insurance policy"?? Don't know...? A lease is a lease. I cannot understand how moving the Incentive Effect Date benefits EITHER of us. It was in fact one of the main reasons I wished to rent at Edgewater... I am bound by Lease Agreement Details, not Incentive Start/Stop Dates so I just don't see the relevant benefit... It just makes me feel unfairly judged. Regardless, I agreed and will be moving in May 27, 2022 I hope this review can be used to: 1) Acknowledge The Leasing Agents Professional Skills and Interpersonal Abilities to Benifit your company and secure a Tenant. 2) Allow the company some reflection on the decision to defer my Incentive, and perhaps look at the necessity of some of the current requirements. Regardless, THANKS TORI F. And thanks Edgewater Team for taking the time to reviee this. Kind regards, Charles Irwin
