Dr. Dustin Costescu, MD FRCSC

Dr. Dustin, was my doctor for my c-section on March 29th 2021 and he did an amazing job!!! He is very professional, friendly and answered any questions that I had. I highly recommend him to everyone! If I have another baby I am definitely going back to him.

He was very amazing with my nexplanon insertion. He told me everything I would feel as I would feel it, he answered any and all questions I had!

We had a horrible experience with Dr. Costescu. If you're looking for a doctor who only visits you when you are in good health and abandon you when you are in emergency situation and need him the most, then Dr. Costescu would be a perfect choice. My wife was under Dr. Costescu's care for 2-3 years, and at one point (because of my work load) I had to reschedule her appointment couple of times. The last time I called the receptionist, she took the liberty to cancel (not reschedule) her appointment and then ask me to contact family Dr. to send a new referral letter. I didn't realize that this is a trick and an excuse to abandon a patient and thought that once referral letter was sent my wife would be reaccepted. I asked my family doctor to send a referral and we didn't hear from Dr. costescu's office. then several weeks later, I had to take my wife to emergency room. Once dismissed, I contacted his office, explained my wife's urgent situation, I was caught by surprise when I was told he won't accept her anymore. This was shocking for us how a doctor fully aware of our emergency situation could neglect and leave my wife on her own like that... and this is where our tax dollars ended up: to Doctor's pocket who only visits you when you are in good health. once you become sick and when you actually need him the most then they will manipulate to get rid of you and make you somebody else's problem. I told my wife today we heal, tomorrow we switch Dr....We're very lucky to find another gynecology who was caring, supportive and committed during my wife's difficult time. I'm still wondering how a doctor could abandon the patient, who is coming to his office for several years, like that? how such a Doctor could even sleep at night? and why the receptionist didn't give us a second chance and explain if we reschedule the appointment we'll need a referral and that literally means refusal and is an excuse to get rid of a patient...

Waited almost 2 years for an appointment, and it was a telephone appointment. Get a letter in the mail stating due to Covid, he has cancelled all his appointments and will call back to reschedule once they open again. Like What? I understand it's Covid but that was riduclous!

A few years back I saw Dr Costescu. I was having a lot of problems , after my consult with him he told me I had endometriosis (never examined me) follow up a few months later he told me he didn’t want to touch me because of my pain. I told him I needed to know what was going on and examined. After my examine of about 2 minutes he told me it was my bladder. I was sent to see a new specialist (I was then sent away because my bladder was fine) Fast forward a few years… I was recently diagnosed have endometriosis and now my well being/life has spiralled. Appalled that my well being wasn’t a priority nor did I receive any proper care. All of this could have been addressed at an earlier stage while now it’s far to late and my life won’t be the same. Avoid this doctor at all costs, get someone that cares!

Dr. Costescu took me on as a patient when no-one else would. I had been labelled a difficult patient due to my severe anxiety, ptsd, and allergies. I am not exaggerating when I say he saved my life. Without him, I would be seeing an oncologist now. He really listens to your needs and takes your history into account. I’ve honestly never seen a doc who can diagnose so professionally from symptoms and have further testing easily confirm it. No wonder he’s so in demand. I have to say a word about the resident at the colposcopy clinic as well. She is a wonderful, caring person who seemed truly interested in symptoms and outcomes. I hope she opens a practice one day!

Dr. Costescu was my obstetrician and he did my c-section as well. He is the best and absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, professional and kind. He has also answered all of my questions since day one. I highly recommend him to everyone, what a great experience! My husband and I absolutely love him! Thank you Dr. Costescu for delivering our healthy baby boy!

We have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. C for a few years now. He is the most amazing, down to earth, approachable doctor I've ever had. His sense of humour and honesty work to create an amazing patient doctor relationship. I feel very comfortable with him as does my husband. He is very busy and in high demand which is not something he can control. That would be our health care system folks. Covid makes it harder. He recently delivered my first daughter. It was a very hard labour and having him pop in, check on me, explain options and be there for the birth made the experience that much more bearable! It was a crazy night with short staff, codes being called, and surgeries yet he and the nurses were there and amazing! I cannot express my thanks enough. No words would seem to suffice. You have my heart felt gratitude for everything you've done for us. Jana
