Dr. Sandeep Sharma

My wife has been seeing Dr. Sharma for a few years. He tells it like it is and his staff is super friendly. I'm surprised people have complained about the service, welcome to free health care in Canada. He's busy because he's good! He's knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about his work. For those of you getting upset with his bedside manner you probably need to do some self-reflection.

Dr. Sharma just delivered my wife and I’s first born son. He has been an amazing Doctor and we couldn’t thank him enough for all his support. My wife is a type 1 Diabetic and with her being considered high risk, We are very thankful our baby is healthy and doing fine. We fealt like we were in great hands and his approach to monitoring my wife and her pregnancy was truly best in class. I say this because she was given multiple referrals to different health practitioners and we felt he was the only one providing good guidance and care.

Dr. Sharma is very knowledgeable and very professional. He is detailed and passionate about his job. He did my C section and I must say I am very lucky I was referred to him. I recommend him any time I get asked about someone in his field. Thank you Dr. Sharma for making the experience easier for a first time mom.

Dr. Sharma was on-call at the time when I was received in the emergency room in the very early hours on a Sunday. He came to discover that I was suffering from a highly rare form of ectopic pregnancy that ruptured and was now bleeding into my abdomen. He performed the emergency surgery which saved my life. OB's are generally very busy, but Dr.Sharma has extensive experience and knowledge that I would highly recommend.

I think in this day and age, some people just feel entitled to having everything go their way. I waited 45 minutes beyond my booked appointment time this morning to see Dr. Sharma. I don’t know why he was running late, maybe he had a patient in crisis, maybe he had a patient experiencing a health issue and needed consultation. Whatever the reason, I feel lucky that I am a patient of his. He is direct yet compassionate. Thorough and efficient and just plain nice. Remember that quality? So what if I had to wait, I appreciate that there are doctors who do what they do. I would highly recommend Dr. Sharma.

Dr Sharma is the best OBGYN I could ask for - very knowledgeable, kind, calm and approachable. He performed an emergency c-section (pre-term) for a friend of mine and she couldn't be happier. So when I got pregnant, I wanted no one else but Dr Sharma as my OB! I had some complications mid-pregnancy, but Dr Sharma handled everything the best way possible and 2 weeks ago I was lucky to have him deliver my baby boy. Thank you Dr Sharma with all my heart, you are THE BEST!

Dr. Sharma did not properly treat my endometriosis, was condescending, rude and did not properly follow-up after my operation. Dr. Sharmas’s process for the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis included a 15 minute appointment to discuss surgery, half of that appointment was focused on preserving my fertility, even though I was clear on being childfree, he still asked if I wanted kids multiple times. The surgery was done in an hour, I was diagnosed with stage 2-3 endometriosis, an hour surgery is not enough time for proper excision of endometriosis. When I woke up, I received a diagnosis of endometriosis through the nurse who read a sentence from Dr. Sharma on a piece of paper that said, “I have stage 3 endometriosis and I should feel better.” I have had a horrible recovery where I was in constant pain and still am. When I called to ask why I am in pain, Dr. Sharma said I interrupted an appointment with another patient and to wait for my 6 week post-op appointment. My post-op was another 15 minute appointment, he dismissed my questions, cut me off and then said I can either get pregnant or go on the pill and the ball is is my court. At this point I decided to find a new doctor. Here is my current treatment plan from another doctor. Ultrasound done by a specialist doctor (gynaecologist) for endometriosis, confirmed stage 2 endometriosis and confirmed Adenomyosis, confirmed pelvic floor issues and a doctors appointment with a urologist to look into issues with bladder and inflammation. Surgery options which included a 3-6 hour excision surgery for stage two endometriosis or a 3-6 hour surgery with excision of endometriosis and hysterectomy to treat adenomyosis, along with support from a nutritionist and pelvic floor specialist. I am choosing the hysterectomy to treat adenomysis and excision of endometriosis within the pelvic floor and surrounding areas. Other support includes a pre-appointment and post-op appointment where I can take my time and have all questions answered with discussion of risks and benefits. Dr. Sharma has dated practices, if you are receiving treatment for endometriosis, join a support group for endometriosis and really do your research, find a doctor that can provides all options and does not dismiss you.

100% highly recommend Dr.Sharma! Having him deliver my rather LARGE son December 10th after working a long busy night, he was in great spirits! I can honestly say I had such an amazing pregnancy and I give it all to Sharma! He was proactive with my previous health issues from my first son ( which I did not have ANY with this pregnancy). I trusted him with the medical advice he provided based on covid 19 vaccination and other vaccines and vitamins he recommended. He was always so calm when meeting every 2 weeks then to weekly visits. His office staff are also so lovely and are doing an amazing job keeping up with all the pregnant mama's appointments aswell as being safe for everyone! Can't wait to be a patient of his in the future for our last and final baby!
