★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fast, efficient and honest are just a few words I would use to describe Doug. On the coldest day of the year with a high of -25C when my furnace decided to fail so I called Doug. Best decision! He had me up and running within a couple hours, was thorough with his explanation for what went wrong and was very fair with his pricing. Will definitely use again and would highly recommend him to others.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've dealt with Doug twice and both times, he responded quickly and professionally. Latest was a leak in furnace. He found crack in condensate plate and quickly checked that part was still under warranty. Once part was in stock, Doug immediately came over and had it installed in less than 15 minutes. Doug answered all my questions including showing me how the furnace actually worked and potential issues.
If you want an honest and quick service call Doug. He has his pricing on the website so you have idea of potential costs and he actually answers his phone and email.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doug was recommended to me by my brother, when my furnace went down. My brother used Doug to service his furnace and gas fireplace, and felt he was an honest, good guy.
When my furnace went down (around 3pm on a weekday in late December), Doug was able to come quote me on a new furnace that same day, and was able to install next day, which is important when it's minus 10 or so out there. He also installed my humidifier. So far, very pleased. He is knowledgeable and doesn't gouge. He came in $1000 cheaper than the other HVAC company I had come quote.
His service rates on his site are also significantly lower than other companies I investigated.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doug Scott has been doing regular maintenance on my furnace and humidifier for the past several years with no issues. He is always punctual, professional, thorough and reasonably priced. Over the weekend it was apparent that there was a noisy problem. Doug stopped by as soon as he could, assessed the situation, outlined my options and provided quotes. As soon as the decision was made, he picked up the parts and returned the same day to make the repair. My furnace is unbelievably quiet now and I am very happy. I highly recommend Doug Scott for all HVAC needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came home recently one Sunday afternoon (Feb 2021) to a cold house. Heard the inducer fan motor in the furnace seized and called a franchise company to come take a look. Though professional they said it would cost about $1,000 to replace a motor that costs about $250-$300 and the part wouldn't be available for a few days during one of the coldest weeks this winter, though they had no problem to get a whole new furnace in the next day if I was interested. I happily showed that company the door and continued my search for a local repair person. I stumbled on Doug Scott Residential Heating on Google and sent a text very early on the following morning which was a holiday in Ontario. He called back within an hour and was at my house the same day. He laughed at the cost the other company wanted to charge and took a look at the motor. In 5 minutes he was able to provide a temporary fix to get the motor running again, amazing! Because of the holiday the parts company was closed but he followed up the very next day and installed the new motor in no time and charged less then HALF the competition without any sacrifice in quality. You call Doug, you get Doug and Doug is truly an honest, down to earth, friendly, caring and highly skilled in his field. For anyone looking for honesty, experience and value in a heating and air conditioning guy then Doug is that guy.Thank you Doug for warming up our house again, you are an answered prayer. God bless!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called this company on the recommendation of my neighbor and I sure regret I did. Doug first attended my house when I wasn't there, he was grumpy and rude towards my family; telling my 2.5 yo to "get out of my way". He messed around for an hour in my basement after which he informed my wife (note: I called Doug, I was his customer and point of contact, not my wife) that the AC was not repairable and he had to change. His quote involved giving me a number over the phone without any explanation as to the particulars, no written quote was provided. Although I had my doubts I approved the quote based on my neighbor's recommendation. Doug's team replaced the AC, just to inform me that AC isn't working because my furnace is out of order. I had the furnace changed by another company (a far more professional one) all the while Doug was hounding me for payment. He refused to inspect and/or adjust his work after the furnace installation and I ended up having to call the other company to rectify his short comings.
All in all, terrible service, mediocre product, horrendous attitude. Do yourself a favour call the other company.
PS I used Button's Heating and Cooling for furnace work and AC tune up (found the number stuck to my HVAC vents).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Doug came to my place on the coldest night of the year when my furnace failed . I have two young girls and it was minus 22 .
It was a Saturday and my main furnace motor was completely seized . I needed a new one. Unfortunately we couldn’t get one . Doug’s knowledge was so experienced and he is so prepared that he took the motor off and had enough parts handy to rebuild and get my house back in order in which was an emergency . Today “repair people “ are replace people . Not Doug , he is old school and fix things and get you going again . I had a similar situation with my AC where he found me a motor or (again) but it wasn’t an emergency with sub zero temperatures that could freeze my pipes .
I won’t use anyone else .

Price was much lower than the 3 other quotes i received. Doug and his team explained all their work before and after installing my furnace and repairing my ac...they were courteous and respectful to my family and property
Lastly they were on time and completed the work the next day
All in all i am very happy with my furnace and his service
