★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Previous claims went smoothly but not the last one and Dolphin Insurance didn’t even know at first that my policy didn’t require me to pay the deductible because my boat was hit at the dock. All my claims have been due to events while docked (cement plant fallout, two collisions by other boats docking). Phone calls not returned promptly, sometimes not returned. I’m waiting for the contractor to be paid (3 weeks now), and I have to pay to fly out to get the boat launched within hours of the contractor being paid, that or pay the boat storage fees myself??? The underwriter, Intact, has been stingy, unlike my previous underwriter, Aviva, and Dolphin Insurance has not taken an interest in how my claim was proceeding. So it was just me, battling car accident injuries, against Intact and the adjuster they hired. They were so good in the past. Not sure what has changed.
Update: A bit better service when I went to renew. Answering phone calls is better with recognition that not everybody can do email well.

The insurance world, marine underwriters in particular, has been a minefield recently. Lee was great in taking care of business for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely BC's #1 Boat Insurance choice especially Liability Only policies for sailors wishing to avoid a full out of water inspection with boats in otherwise good condition. Sean went out of his way to respond on a Saturday giving me peace of mind that policy coverage would be active for the Monday deadline that I needed to meet.
