This location on Gorge street, Victoria, BC is the worst place we've ever stayed. There's no microwave and we have to go down stairs to heat up food considering COVID and all. I talked to assistant manager and he said that nothing he can do about it. It's frustrating since we came here for a meet swimming competition. The heat is NOT working and keep running nonstop to a boiling point so we have to constantly waking up to turn ON and Off throughout the whole night. The parking is always full due to the bar usages. I'd not recommend anyone to stay here. Not to mention it's so outdated and need major renovation we feel like we are staying in a third countries hotel for backpackers.

The bed and bedding were comfortable and clean, but the room showed lots of wear and tear. Sound carried from adjacent rooms clearly. A phone conversation in the room next door sounded as if both people were standing in my room. The wardrobe door was difficult to close as it hung crooked. Very small tub and shower; would likely be problematic for someone a foot taller than me. The gentleman who checked me in was not overly friendly and didn't explain any of the amenities. I didn't even realize there was a pool or fitness room until later when I noticed the sign. I had considered staying longer but would rather pay a little more for better service, view, and amenities closer to the harbour.

The hotel is situated in uptown Victoria about a 3 minute drive to Downtown and 8 minutes to the marina and legislation building. The room consisted of 2 double beds which are comfortable. a desk, a/c unit, heater and a TV. Room looked clean and updated until the bathroom. Bathroom was dirty damp and small. The shower was the worse shower I have ever been in if you are of average size or any bigger good luck taking a decent shower. Beware also the shower does not maintain a steady temperature so be prepared to be scolded one minute and fighting hypothermia the next. For the amount of time we actually spent in the room it was worth the cheaper price. If you are on a budget or just want a place to sleep at night this place is for you. If you want to experience a well maintained hotel maybe pass on this one.

It was a good stay with all the facilities included in the rooms. Well maintained and tidy rooms. The front desk staff were great and gave enough info for a quick tour around the island. I would like to recommend this place for all who is looking for a quite low budget rooms. Thanks Days inn.

We had little problem during check -in for the room allocation as there are no elevators and my parents can’t climb up to 3rd floor but after re-checking the lady at the front desk found a new room at ground floor which was available. It was some sort of magic that 10min back the hotel was sold out and few min later we got the room?. However all is well that ends well.We loved our rooms.Got 2 rooms booked for us.Very clean and comfortable beds.Clean washroom and nice spacious rooms. Would I go back to this hotel?? Of course yes!

For the price point, nothing wrong with this hotel at all. And it has a pool. Great walk along the Gorge to downtown or take the little harbour ferry from one of their stops. And also the place has all been renovated. Don't listen to the bad reviews. For what you pay, this is a good place to stay and the pub and restaurant are good too. Booked in again this weekend and Im sure it will be just fine.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for our first time. We were greeted by a lovely lady named Margaret at the front desk. She told us wonderful stories of Oreo the cat. He was snoozing but let us pet him. Margaret gave us some travel tips and places we should visit. The hotel was clean and quiet. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Thank you Margaret for such good customer service and your kindness. We recommend this hotel to others.

Very kind front desk clerk. Called to see if we could check in ~2 hours early, graciously accommodated. While I was slightly disappointed our room was on the 3rd floor and I did not spot an elevator (didn’t look for one either), the room was clean and well-kept and quite quaint. Was not concerned with room presentation. They also check in via text about 45 minutes after you check in, and again the following day. I am quite sure if I had a problem, it would have been swiftly taken care of. The indoor pool is pretty big, clean, and was empty at 8:45pm on a Friday night. There is also a small fitness center and 2 dry saunas, one in each gender locker room. Very well-kept and clean. Definitely a hidden gem for tourists. Less than a 10 minute drive from downtown/inner-harbor, great service, at a fraction of the price. Thanks!
