C	Carrie Pc on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an extended stay here while attending school for several months. It was great, super friendly staff and nice room. Walking distance from lots of good breweries.... Olu and Amy at the front desk were awesome!

S	Susan Fack on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room was dirty, food debris on curtains!! (at least I think it was food). Dirty pillows and the kitchenette had missing items- no dish soap or was cloths. I had to ask for the room to be cleaned again and even then, the lettuce on the carpet was still there. Lots of renovations were happening, and the hallways were covered in dust, plaster board and other reno stuff, during my entire stay. As for the noise..drilling started right on 8am and went through the day. Not a very relaxing stay. TV remote controls didn’t work. Kettle didn’t work. Knives were broken. Very very disgusting hotel.

The day I arrived the gentleman that was renovating in the next door kindly made sure it wasn’t loud. Never really even heard him. The front desk was extremely supportive and helpful allowing me to send things to be photocopied etc. as I am a student in school. I was supposed to be in class at University of Victoria but unfortunately they close the doors after a Covid outbreak happened there. This mean class was going to be on zoom and the staff were extremely accommodating in allowing me to use the business centre to make sure that I was able to get my work done. I eat at the restaurant several times and the food was good. The manager named Amy Leonhard was extremely friendly and very accommodating for anything that I needed. Another front desk lady named Charlie was extremely helpful by photocopying materials for me etc. everybody just seemed extremely friendly and welcoming and helpful through my 11 days of school.The pool was usually empty so it was fantastic to be able to use the pool in the hot tub every night. I’m extremely picky about beds and the bed was very very comfortable and housekeeping were absolutely lovely. I would highly recommend the Victoria Sandman for any reason whatsoever. As a matter fact my instructor will be speaking to this hotel to accommodate other students in the future. Thank you for everything you guys made my stay great!!!!
h	hunter flamand on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed 2 nights here (unfortunately had to extend our stay from one night) from the 27-29th, in two separate rooms. Both rooms were very clean and well kept, especially the renovated room on the second night. Customer service was A+, with front desk staff providing extra blankets as requested, & even lending me a phone charger! (I forgot mine at home) Ended up forgetting a very valuable piece of equipment on my second night, and as of now the item has been found and will be returned to me. I’d like to give an extra special thanks to the staff here for going above and beyond to return my property, and for making my stay enjoyable.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the downtown core making it easy to get around. I would definitely stay again for both work and pleasure.

I'm the travel coordinator for my company and every chance I have to reach out for a booking, be it last minute or plenty of notice, the hotel always does their best to host our staff or get back to me with enough notice to keep searching. And the reviews from the staff who do get the pleasure of staying... amazing! Every single employee who has gone has requested to go back again any time they are on the island.
L	Lisa Fehr on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a suit on the top floor. It had everything we needed. The bathroom is large and clean. The shower had several water options and was very spacious. The sofa was firm and comfortable. The bed was amazing! I had the most sound sleep I've had in a very long time. The built in outlets on the desk made it electronics friendly. The service was excellent. Olu was very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff was very friendly. We've been here a couple of times now and will happily come again.
