About Cypress View Veterinary Clinic
For more than 45 years the caring professionals at Cypress View Veterinary Clinic have been providing quality service and care to our clients and patients in the Medicine Hat area. Since moving to our current location in 1996, the clinic has grown from a two-Veterinarian practice to an extensive team including Five full time Veterinarians, 8 Registered Veterinary Technologists, several Veterinary Assistants, and our amazing front end team who handles our reception and front-end needs.
Cypress View is a small animal practice servicing companion animals. We offer a full range of comprehensive veterinary medical services, including vaccinations, wellness exams, elective surgeries, orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, nutritional counselling, and ophthalmic surgery. We also prepare pet passports for international export. Our small animal clinic is limited to dogs and cats as we do not currently service exotics.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter unfortunately had a terrible experience with euthanizing our precious dog "Blue" today. It was a difficult decision, it was a painful experience, and you sir were cruel! Not only did you make her feel she was doing the wrong thing, you knew absolutely nothing about the pain and suffering Blue endured. Maybe you should have focused on those questions. We were promised a good experience, a compassionate experience, you sir took that away from her. You bullied a vulnerable, 18 year old kid whom loved that dog with every beat of her heart. You should be ashamed of your behaviour for a vet. Futher more, you got mad with her because her mask slipped over her nose- Do you know how many tears she cried during that process? Maybe your mask would be wet and slip accidently over your nose too. So, thank you for making a hard day even harder! I am pleased to say I will NEVER walk through the Cypress vet clinic doors every again and NEVER reccommend the " Comfort Room". I am ashamed of myself for trusting you in particular.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't speak to the veterinary care at this clinic. However when I called this morning and tried to explain I was on vacation in Medicine Hat, and that my 6 month old puppy had a problem with his eye that needed to be seen because he can't keep it open, the person on the phone didn't seem to care at all. I was told they were booking a month out and to go elsewhere. Sure, I'll do that, however you're telling me you can't fit in a sick puppy? You keep no appointments at all for urgent issues?
I had already called my usual vet back home and had been told to have him seen within 24 hours and when I tried to explain the person who answered the phone just started listing other vets. Tactless and callous. Very unimpressed.
Update: the owner replied and stated I wasn't offered emergency options because I wasn't a regular client. I had a sick 6 month old puppy and they couldn't be bothered because I wouldn't be a regular customer. Their lack of empathy must start at the top.
Second Update: owner deleted their reply. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just have to say administration and techs are amazing. The doctor I had today to euthanize my dog was awful. He had no compassion whatsoever about the situation. He referred to my dog as a “he/him” when I told him and asked the tech to remind him that my dog was female. Especially when it is this time in life when you have to put your family member/best friend down it is not that hard to remember such a small detail.
Again thank you for all the support from everyone at Cypress except the vet. I don’t expect the vet to be warm and cuddly but at least show a little bit of compassion.
