See "Financial Consumer Protection Agency of Canada": federal guidelines are not adhered to by this firm. Unlawful practices of this "leaderless, fake team" entity are - in part - contributory to investor non-confidence and the failure this week for stock trading in Calgary...get your investments out of this mismanaged company, or risk the loss of your savings, permanently.

I went to open a basic chequing account at this location last week and found the service to be horrible! I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment and proceeded to wait another 30 minute before the lady called me into her office. During this time she walked in and out of her office and had enough time talk and giggle with the tellers. Once I was in her office she was very rude. She was very invasive in her questioning, I was just wanting to open a basic chequing account. I was not applying for a mortgage or any form of credit. Throughout the meeting she was very condescending and belittling. She shamed me for my lack of credit, which I did not know I needed to open a simple chequing account. (I am only 18). I ended up walking out. I have several family members and friends who have accounts with First Calgary and none of them experienced the service or questioning that I received. I ended up taking my business to TD, where they were more than happy to set up an account for me. No invasive questions or patronizing remarks.

The new banking system is a total disaster. Lost access to my accounts and by looks of the long long lineup in the branch, everyone has similar issues. A total flop of a rollout of such an impactful change, especially under COVID restrictions. I can't recommend using them now.

Some companies insist on having pre authorized access to your bank account to auto pay a bill. Rediculas that you cannot withdraw that authorization permanently. First Calgary charges $15 but it's only good for 3 months. What a scam to steal from your customers!

Tried to book an appointment online by manually entering my preferred location and the $&@* webpage still insisted on sending me to main branch in Inglewood. Tried to phone for an appointment and after 25 rings was told they would be talking to me in 14 minutes. You might think that with fewer in-person contacts there might be more people to answer the phone. Guess the only option is to show up in person. I hate their website, too much wasted space, too many clicks and delays to get anywhere. Guess it is time to start the migration to another bank.
