I wish I could give a negative rating. I have been going to different Gyms from past 15 years but this has to be my worst experience from all. There is no customer service at all from the staff and from Manager as well. Due to miscommunication from the staff, they didn't cancel my membership in April (30 days notice to cancel the membership end of May) in advance for which I had to pay for another additional month (June) fees. To make it even worse, the additional month I had to keep the membership due to staff member negligence happened to be a annual fee month which I had to pay. How ridiculous can it be to pay for full year in advance annual fee when I had already cancelled the membership. Manager wouldn't listen to what I had to say but to accept what the employee said. WORST customer service EVER. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Great value for money geared toward average fitness rather than pro athletes. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the gym is often 5-6 degrees warmer than it should be for those doing cardio or working hard. It makes you not want to be there and no one wants to be sweaty/gross. If people feel cold they can put on clo These but I'm already at the limit of how much clothes I can take off and I'm often still hot!

Once again this is one of the terrible gym. 3 staff members and all 3 on theor phones at the reception. No one cares what going ok around. 1 lady doing arm excercise and using Smith machine bar to rest up. Other people waiting n starting at her to use the Smith machine. We pay same amount of fee. Then asking to use the gym 1 hour limit but u have to wait for machine 5-7 minutes and especially Smith machine always someone on it but doing other excercise and using phone. No one ask or say anything. Wouldn't recommend this gym at all.

I have had a membership at Club 16 for years (not without issues)- . In November I asked them to postpone by membership, which they mentioned could be done for 2 months at a time but no longer-. As the 2 months came and passed I noticed a charge on my account,.. followed by another charge as well a couple weeks later. I went in to ask them to postpone my membership for another 2 months- 6 days later I was charged another bi-monthly amount. When I inquired about this charge they told me it was company policy that any payments within 7 days of postponement cannot be cancelled or returned- after finally calling customer service they offered to send me a $9 credit. I explained this wasn't good, saying that if they intended me to personally go in and postpone my membership every 2 months, I would expect to be compensated for the 2 previous charges, (despite being charged before I was able to postpone for another 2 months. I'm aware my membership was re-activated and I didn't get into the gym to postpone it further- however between the number of years I have been a member of this gym (too many to count), and the additional charge "6 days after" cancelation- I think there should be a serious review of how you treat your members. It's disappointing (despite the fact I do not blame your staff for doing their job) that your staff kept on referencing "company policy" as to why they could not refund the charges, and would highly suggest changing your "company policy" to something a little more considerate of your customers- and not that it matters, but especially to someone who has been part of your gym for years. To anybody considering getting a membership with this location- the of equipment maintenance is also neglected ( I have not been since November but doubt much has changed, broken straps, machines, etc). Staff are friendly- but in regards to overall company professionalism, upkeep, and customer service, I would highly suggest looking at other gyms before resorting to Club 16. I have cancelled my membership.

Minimal equipment for a gym to be charging this much. No squat rack, no bench presses and no cable machines, I’d rather work out near the dumpsters of a Walmart parking lot. Staff also seem to hate it there as much as the general public that use it. Any other club 16 is better than this location , don’t waste your time or money. Feb 3 2022

Worst club 16 location. To bad 0 stars isn’t an option. No one seems to care around there, the workers or the people working out. Most pin machines are broken. People don’t put weights (dumbbells, cable accessories, rubber plates) back nor do I ever see the workers there walk around and make sure everything is organized and clean throughout the day. Instead I constantly just see them at the front desk on their phones doing nothing. Can’t even crack a smile at you or greet you. Ventilation needs to be better in the basement or something cause it’s constantly humid and just smells.. horrible.

I signed up a month ago because I just moved in to Surrey. So I was looking for a gym that is close to my house and affordable. Most of the machine is missing pegs. A lot of plates are just lying around. Missing barbell bars. Staff doesn’t really care about the customers. 3-4 staff in the front desk doesn’t even greet you.

I have been working out at this gym for a few years now. I originally transferred from another gym because i heard great things about the club. Initially everything about the gym was great unfortunately it has slowly declined overtime. The main reasons for this are: -The lack of prompt/proactive care to maintain equipment in a state of good repair -The growing push for membership sales increasing the overall member compliment beyond what can be comfortably supported by the facility decreasing quality of the overall product delivered to customers -Lack of proper ventilation in the lower level, the smell is extremely unpleasant especially during peak times On a more positive note, some of the personal trainers here are head and shoulders above the competition, if you need personal training and can attend during nonpeak times this is the place for you.
