About Clementine
What is Clementine?
An elegant bar in the Oliver neighbourhood of Edmonton, inspired by nature and early 20th century French Art Nouveau. We opened our doors in 2016 and have continuously been apart of trying to elevate food and drink in Edmonton. We have a lot left to learn and a lot left to contribute.
What is on your cocktail menu?
Our cocktails are styled according to the foundations of classical bartending, and honour the long history of our craft. Each cocktail is named and fashioned to invoke particular feelings and memories, and to get you thinking and talking about what you’re tasting/sensing. We use our craft to faithfully carry on the tradition of thoughtful imbibing, and are always looking for new ingredients, stories and flavours to bring to our guests.
We are also particularly obessesed with long forgotten/overlooked spirits and cocktails (i.e., Absinthe, Sherry, the Adonis cocktail, etc) and have an extensive backbar for you to taste from.
What is on your wine list?
The wine on our list is deeply connected to the natural environment of the vineyards they call home. We have curated a wine list of small, family run vineyards that use minimal intervention to allow the land to speak for itself. Wine is a living, changing thing, and our aim is to respect the diversity of the many terroirs that can be found within it and to help tell their story through serving them.
And yes, all of the wines on our list are “natural wines”, we just choose to avoid that loaded phrase because of all the other problematic connonations it brings. First and foremost, we serve wines of place that we find delicious.

β β β β β Very intimate and cosy atmosphere. Amazing food- we got the special, a duck salad, that was delightful, and the pork belly focaccia and it was probably the best thing I've ever eaten. The bar made me a cocktail to my specifications and it was so good. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly, and helpful for deciding what to get. Definitely a great date night spot.

β β β β β Pretty terrible service. We watched another table get our drinks (and then double when they got their own) after waiting for 20 minutes after ordering, and then took another 20 to actually get ours. Then when we finished our drinks we sat with empty glasses in front of us with no acknowledgement from our server while tables around us continued to get service for 30 minutes. Iβve been a server for years and I get that busy nights can get hectic, but this was pretty bad. Drinks were fine but not good enough to make up for the bad service.

β β β β β Cozy environment and excellent ambiance. Enough room between customers for privacy in a small space. House cocktails do not disappoint. Coming back on a Tuesday when cocktails are $10!! Very friendly service.

β β β β β Apapacho was a mexcal combo that grabs you with its long finish. The sobremesa stood on its own with a balance of flavours. Candied salmon was tasty. Bartender Jeremy and cocktail aficionado Jason filled me in on the art of cocktails. Chill evening.

β β β β β I found this place by accident 4 years ago whilst walking my dog on Jasper Ave. I've had multiple first dates at this joint, sometimes even having 3-4 a week during busy mating season (that's how much I love this place). They do the classics really good and their originals are in a class of its own. The environment is intimate and any one you introduce to this joint will be pleased. I've done a few of their seasonal prix fix menu and that has also been stellar. They also have decent happy hour deals. All in all 10/10

β β β β β Jeremy is a wonderful bartender, so attentive and friendly. Makes a mean cocktail.
Ambiance is so lovely. Decorated beautifully, makes you feel as if you've transported to a cozy European restaurant.
First time trying their food, usually we just grab drinks here. The Beef Tartar was memorable, no doubt. And mushroom toast also divine.
