Best Chinese BBQ I've ever had! My wife and I love Chinese BBQ. Every new city we visit, the best Cantonese BBQ in town is always our go-to place. BBQ joints in Houston, LA, NYC, and Toronto don't even come close to the taste this gem provides. It's a perfect combination of tenderness, freshness and seasoning. Range-free chicken with ginger-scallion sauce is my fav and my wife loves BBQ pork which is hands down the best weβve ever had. Itβs a shame we just stay in Vancouver for a week otherwise weβd frequent here every week.

People here are so lovely and cordial. I see customers from various ethnicities come and go, and the manager, cooks, and waitresses give them the same heartwarming service. When we mistakenly ordered a large size soup, the waitress kindly reminded us it could be too much for 2. When we told the manager how much we LOVE the food, he showed us sincere appreciation.
????? Atmosphere
Not your typical Chinese BBQ joint. I can see that the owner took earnest efforts to create a vintage HK vibe. The aesthetics took us back to 70s and itβs so delightful to have delicious food in it.

β β β β β This place was incredible! I had 6 people in my party come in and some of us werenβt sure what to order but have no fear Bobby was there to help us. He immediately sat us down and explained all about what to expect and offered us a family style experience and told us he would take care of ordering our meal. What he brought out was unbelievable food and service. The BBQ pork and roasted chicken was my favorite. The sauce that came with the roasted chicken is life changing. I donβt know if Bobby overheard my excitement over the sauce because he brought extra sauce to the table. The service was warm and inviting and the dinner was perfect. Chinatown BBQ is a must if your in Vancouver and make sure if Bobby is there to trust his recommendations!

β β β β β So let's just talk about this gem of a place for a minute. Food is done right, I think my worst dish was the cold plate jellyfish and Pork Hock, and that plate I will still rank as a solid 6.5, the Gailan in Garlic. 7.5, the Curry Beef Brisket 7, the Roasted Pork 9, the BBQ pork 8 and the Soy Sauce Chicken 7. The show stopper is the Roasted Pork. That skin is crispy, light and just heaven.
So that's just the food, then we met Bobby, and Bobby just knows how to run the show, and advise you on what to order. The man knows how to give proper information on portion, best sellers, recommendations and jokes with you also!! He's attentive and checks up on guests at the right time but not too frequently.
Lastly the decor, I've always been a fan of proper decor for a restaurant, but lately I've been running into restaurants with great decor but mediocre food... so this was a definite win in my books. Solid food, great service and a beautiful charming venue... It really does feel like travelling without travelling.

The roasted & bbq pork are really fantastic & make me crave for more! The gai lan with garlic oil is fresh, crunchy with generous sauce.
Definitely will come back for more.

β β β β β Just discovered this little gem recently! Food is very tasty, the portions are good and the prices very reasonable! Equally important, the service is lovely and very fast-such nice people who work there! We love the atmosphere theyβve set up! The restaurant is also very neat and clean. Highly recommended!

β β β β β The best food that I have had in BC so far. Donβt miss the crispy pork. Really, donβt miss it. Also, the broccoli in garlic sauce was very good. And as an added benefit, the staff was lovely. Ian was our server and he was very helpful.

β β β β β Absolutely disgusting! The rice was mushy but UNDERCOOKED. There were pieces of RAW RICE in my order. I would give -5 stars if I could. The meat was dry and had way too much fat. Worst Chinese BBQ I've had in my life. I would give -5 stars if I could. Very disappointed.
