★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For my daughter’s birthday she wanted a longboard and she said she could just get it from Amazon, but I wanted to support local businesses during this difficult time so we found this shop in Chinatown. Great service - the staff (Danny?) spent a lot of time explaining and letting her try in different styles of longboards (I’m glad that we went on a weekday, not weekends). We took too much of his time I felt guilty, but we finally bought a cool board that she likes. I usually check out reviews and the website before I go anywhere but this is such a spontaneous buy for the occasion; I do recommend for whoever wanting to buy a longboard here - checkout their website first. The shop only allows one group of customers at a time with no browsing. It’s good to be safe - it means it’s a responsible business. Thank you!

Whether it’s your first skateboard or your next board in the quiver, Les will take good care of you.
I thought I did my a decent job researching the wheels I needed for my carving board. My visit at flatspot longboard shop proved otherwise. Les took out a measuring tape, pen, and paper to help me decide on my new set of wheels. He explained the physics behind the design and materials of the different wheels. He wrote down my wants from the new wheels and constructed a table showing the pros and cons of the different wheel options.
The best part, he didn’t even try to sell me the most expensive option. He just wanted to provide me with the most fun. Excellent customer service.
Will definitely be back for my next board in the quiver.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5 for being a sick skate shop and pillar of the community if you want to browse around go to the library. Be patient and understanding with the staff this is not a shop with unlimited resources like some big corps ruining skateboarding. Again, be respectful and patient and this shop will meet all your skate needs, extremely knowledgeable on all skate disciplines feel free to ask questions and try new things, support local skate shops!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here a couple of times now, within the same week. First time to buy a board, second time because I wanted some further advice and was considering trying a different board out.
Both times the staff were super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell these guys know what they're talking about, and I felt like I was in good hands - it being 20 years since I owned a board and most likely asking questions they had heard 1,000,000 times before.
Will definitely be revisiting them in the future for all my skating needs.
