We came to Canoe a year ago to get help for my 5 year old son who was having difficulty pronouncing some sounds such as: "L", "S" and "R". The speech therapist that worked with us was Anna-Maria Mersov and she was really Fantastic! She is very experienced in the field and knew exactly how to work with my son, the exercises she sent for home were also great. A year later my son has all of his sounds and attribute a lot of his success to the time and technique from Anna. We highly recommend her for any speech therapy. The Canoe Centre is also very nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We took our eldest child to Canoe Therapy to assist with speech therapy and behavioral issues. The process of getting started was very easy, which helped. The process and timelines were very well explained to us. Our therapist was very understanding and skilled. The gains our child made were rapid and gave us a great deal of comfort in our decision to send him to Canoe. We had 6 sessions and the turnaround was remarkable, at which point it was agreed that no further sessions were needed at this time. I would definitely recommend Canoe Therapy to anyone needing professional help with their child, or worried about their development.

Fantastic experience! The therapists were skilled, experienced and wonderful with my daughter. Canoe has created an environment that any child would want to go to. The space is warm and inviting. I would highly recommend Canoe.

My son had weekly appointments on Tuesday evenings. We had a family emergency and had to leave yesterday evening. I called first thing to explain the missed appointment, and was told I would have to pay a 50% charge for the missed appointment because I didn’t provide 48 hours notice. I was spoke to rudely and They are closed on Sunday. I didn’t think it right to leave a voice mail only, so waited for them to open to speak to someone directly. If I had left a VM Sunday they would have been left with the same notice of me calling upon opening. We would have continued to go there as our child got older, because of this I cancelled all future appointments and will not return. That’s horrible customer service.

My family's experience with Canoe Therapy was nothing short of fantastic! The team of therapists are top notch and they truly care about helping children reach their goals. We are so proud of everything that our son accomplished and we are very happy to report that he is an official "Canoe Graduate!" We highly recommend Canoe Therapy to other parents.

Last week was our first appointment at Canoe Therapy and I just want to say how happy I am with the level of care. My child’s Occupational Therapy assessment was informative and thorough. My daughter can’t wait to go back, which is great because I find it very hard to find somewhere in my area that is as comfortable as Canoe Therapy is.

It saddens me to write this poor review. Initially our occupational therapy services were great. After newly discovering that our daughter had some serious issues needing care, I was so relieved to find a good professional to work with her. However, our OT resigned, and I only found out from the receptionist when I called to book our next appointment. The OT never made an effort to reach out to say goodbye to my daughter. When I asked what the transition plan was, I was told that "someone" would take the case. There was no personalization at all. I was clearly upset but no one from Canoe made any effort to make things right or reach out to set us up with a new OT. I finally called 1 month later to talk about this experience with the clinical director about our experience and was met with defensiveness and no apologies or admittance that my daughter had received poor care through this non-existent transition process. From this experience I can only conclude that the "leading" Canoe Therapy does not actually care about children. If you want good care when problems occur - don't go to Canoe!

Canoe is welcoming for all and I have too many good things to say about the company and those behind the scenes that make it a great place. It has provided opportunities for learning and growing for myself and surrounding individuals. I have experienced it first hand with the therapist and staff going above and beyond for people. If you are looking for a friendly & supportive environment for your child I would highly suggest reaching out.
