★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Normally they are awesome but this time they were not.
I dropped my skates off to get profiled, left them for 4 days and when I picked them up they were only sharpened.
I needed my skates so I had to take them and bring them back. I dropped them off again and was TD it will take more than a day!
No apparent care for the horrible customer experience at all. Nobody seemed to care.
Very disappointing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of hockey gear. Have yet to have a bad sharpening from their pro shop. Sales reps approaching you vary from visit to visit. Sometimes you walk in and they are in their own conversation the entire visit, someone they greet you with a genuine interest in assisting. A solid choice for a hockey-goto store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought new skates last year, had taken them to have some radious work done and were impossible to skate on, something was very wrong! Took my new skates in to Al's Source for Sports to have the radius corrected, they suggested their new system... WORKED FANTASTIC... skates are perfect and feels like I have had them on my feet for years. Al's suggestion was great, staff was super helpful and they had them done very quick. Look no further for great staff and service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Team friendly atmosphere. Got my skates sharpened here. Good hours as well you can pop in never really a long wait. Good place to get any hockey needs filled! I would recommend it to anybody conveniently located on Fairview lots of parking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice store and the shooting cage is really cool. but I have to say the skate sharpening it terrible. This is the second time I have had to return to get them re done. If someone is not competent in skate sharpening do not have them doing it. I got them done last Saturday and played Sunday morning and it ruined my game. They did re sharpen last night, no questions asked which is great service and have to say that the staff are very helpful and courteous. I will be using the store again but not for sharpening.
UPDATED - Many thanks for the great response, I was out skating today and they were perfect, excellent sharpening this time. Updating the review also to a 5 star given the swift response and great info on sharpening services. Its how you react to issues that defines a business I suppose

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought in my skates for a profile and sharpening. Greg was extremely helpful a d explained that at Al's they do a quad profile and I've never done one before so we went with quad zero. Had a rough time and couldn't get used to it and had to bring the skates back.
This is where I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Greg listened to what issues I had and took the time to speak with me in detail about where the blade wasnt "touching"
Greg then did a quad 1 profile and even recommended a different hollow than I usually get and holy wow are they great now. Skates feel amazing and the quad 1 profile was amazing. I didnt have to repay to get the fixed either. Definitely coming back here again.
Thanks so much Greg. You were right the 1/2 inch hollow with the quad 1 felt amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was in Al’s tonight and the owner was very rude. His staff is always great. Staff took us to the back for my kids to try on the Bull dog team clothing. He came in and talked to us like we are gum from the bottom of his shoe. Then announced he had to do skate sharpening. 5 minutes comes back and does the same thing again. You would think with the pandemic and loss of business he would have better Chrome service or even human being skills.
