Purchased a Patio furniture set from this store for pickup. I was called and informed that a couple of pieces were display pieces and so I asked if I could get a discount. Mike, the General Manager of the store, took offence to this request and began immediately threatening to cancel my order and give it to someone else. When I questioned why he was acting this way, he yelled he was going to cancel my order and hung up the phone on me. I was left with no idea whether or not I was going to get my money back or if the furniture was still mine. I had never been spoken to so rudely in any retail experience I've had in my life. As a former retail employee, I can't believe the standards of customer service have dropped this low. Especially from a GM who runs the store!

I went in for a safety on a vehicle. I was handed a list a mile long of things it required. The problem is that it needed only one of the items on that list. They told me the front struts were leaking, they weren’t. They told me that it needed a new third brake light, it works. They told me that it needs a brake flush, not even a part of a safety. A complete scam. Don’t walk, run away from this place.

Very open walkways, staff are good and the front counter us always helpful and friendly. Has well organized sections and each area is a good size and not chopped down. Good size store overall Good location for tools/our door activities and home stuff. If you want fishing this has a bit but the alliston one is where you want to go for fishing/hunting.

Tried to return an item two hours after I bought it, but was told I had to wait 24 hours?! The manager came by and was all nonchalant about it, "just wait after 24 hours and come back when our system updates". Really?! Like what kind of store is this? Never heard of such nonsense before. I am honestly done with Canadian Tire.

Its the same as any other Canadian tire, I mean like a man cave but then it is very quiet and very less crowd. Not sure if it is because its in a small town. I also realized its cheaper to buy windshield wiper fluid here than buying the same make and brand from the Canadian tire fuel store which is like 200mts away. Bought wipers for my car, pretty neat collection. Was able to get them quickly by looking at the screens they have there. Came out fixed them and worked perfectly fine.

The lovely young woman at the Customer Service desk was most pleasant and very helpful. I returned an item and then asked if she could please help me find a solar light I was looking for. She took the time to help me which O was very impressed with...it was fairly busy in the store. When they did not have what I wanted she looked up the item for me and let me know what other stores carried the product. I done often write reviews but a HUGE shoutout for the YOUNG lady who helped me yesterday!!

Went in to buy a chia pet (emoji) on sale from $20 to $10 on boxing day, as all canadian tire website advertised at that price for that product. Checked out shows up as $20 and asked for scanning code of practice ($10 off, so it would be $0 instead), denied by the general manager (Mike Mizzen), saying it is the wrong SKU. Even dragged the display stand where I got it from and the stand says chia pet emoji underneath and the "wrong" tag was of a chia pet original. Mike said someone put the wrong tag on the box and I said how can that be cuz it is the only display stand there. He says it happens all the time and that there are more stock in the back. I declined purchase and he took the item away. Went outside the store and checked Bolton inventory online and shows the item as zero stock. Went back to store trying to get it again, he then admits there are inventory discrepancies. And that "someone" has already bought it at original price and it is now gone. He says stores are franchises and don't have to follow the sale prices from everyone else, and that the scanning code of practice is only voluntary. My take. Wouldn't honour the actual price and scanning code of practice because someone at his store put up the wrong tag. Then make up excuses so I wouldn't get it for free. Lastly, he probably lied and said someone bought it to get me to leave the store. Bad customer service experience all around. Be aware. Edit: Dec 29 Guess what I found in the aisle? A marked down chia pet emoji with a wrong tag that scanned correctly at $9.99 at checkout. Hate to say it, what was speculated about the GM is true.
