Tried to buy a Gerber Multitool. An employee said they brought it to the cash registers for me as per store policy. Knife wasn't at the cash registers 2 minutes later when I showed up. Employees couldn't figure out where it went and didn't have spare people to assist. Ended up leaving and bringing my business elsewhere ?‍♂️

I had to return something and the person who served me, her tag said manager. She was kind, personable and had smiling eyes. I hate returning things as at some stores the clerk is rough and curt. This was a pleasant experience.

I tried to send this complain to the store manager via email but I was given an incorrect email address but the employee. I guess she was just trying to make me go away. I visited your store on Innes Road to purchase some skating gear. I paid for the items which included a pair of skates, a helmet and a bag. I asked the cashier about receiving a discount for the skates because of my membership with CANskate. He directed me to the customer service desk. I reached the desk where there were three female employees. The person that I spoke to did not seem familiar with the discount so, she turned to the other two employees to ask about the discount. The two employees said that I need it to bring the information printed on the day of purchase. I did not have the information printed so I asked one of the employees if I could email it to her to print. She said that it was not possible and that I need it the print out. At that point, I put on my jacket, wrap my bags and my 4 year old daughter and left the store. After I left the store, on the parking lot, in front of several people, I heard someone calling out to me, saying “you did not pay for those skates” I was surprised, to see one of the same employees that I have spoken to just minutes before. I reiterated that I had paid from skates. She asked me to show her the receipt, and I said that I had not paid for the skates. This was the same employee who was present when I was given the info about the discount! Why would I asked for a discount for an item that I had not paid. It did not make sense. At this point, I got upset and told the employee that I was not going to show her the receipt. I told her to call the police, I that I would happy comply. She yelled to the security guard from the parking lot and kept accusing me of stealing the skates. I told her that she was profiling me and she was being racist. She told me another employee had told her, I hadn’t paid for the skates. I was very upset, but I took out the receipt again and showed it to her. She realized that I was telling the truth and I had paid for the skates. I asked her for an apology from the employee who had said that I had not paid for the skates. Her response was that she was just doing her job and that the other employee had gone on break. She then went inside the store without recognizing that she had made a mistake and had accused me wrongly. I do not think that this employee verified with the cashier or the security guard if I had paid. Even though, she knew that I had asked for the discount, she did not stop to think and see if the accusations made sense. I really don’t understand her actions. Under the pretext that she was doing her job, she use a position of authority and acted disrespectfully. This was the result of her making an assumption and acting impulsively instead of thinking. I’m writing this email to stand up for myself, after being accused unjustly to demand an apology and to ask your staff to recognize their mistakes and maybe learn from it. I was giving your email by another employee at the front desk. I understand the employee involved in this situation is the customer service manager. I visited the store on Saturday 22, 2021 around 3:30 pm. I also want to comment of the actions of the security guard who was successful in bringing the temperature down.

Worst customer service. Not the first time I've received sub par service from this store. Mark my words; I refuse to spend one more dime at any canadian tire owned stores ever again and I will advocate to all I know to stay far away. Too many other stores offering much of the same product to not try to retain customers. Oh well, I tried to work things out through corporate but to little avail. FYI not the best idea to insinuate that your customers may not have paid for items

I had a wonderful experience at the store today! I approached two young men in the outdoor department and Liam was more than happy to assist me in finding the charcoal I needed for my barbecue. My cashier was lovely, although I didn't get her name unfortunately. Keep it up Canadian Tire, you guys do it right!

I had to get my tires changed. Kurt the assistant manager in auto service was knowledgeable, didn't try to up-sell me, and managed to get me in on time during the busiest season. The only reason I have them 4 stars is due to the fact that no one called me to let me know my tires were ready for pickup, and the customer service representative I called on the weekend didn't offer compassion but only made excuses. Archie in auto service was able to rectify this mishap but installing my tires in less than a day. I want to thank you and the team for working tirelessly through the busy season to help our community change our tires, and get ready for the summer months. The store as a whole is always clean, stocked, and you can always find a representative to help you find a product or answer questions which is refreshing compared to most box stores.

I like how much Canadian Tire has to offer. This time I went to get a key cut. It's now at the Customer Relations Desk at the front of the store. Always used to be in the back near Tools.... (showing my age) The cutting machine is all automated now! I was served as soon as I got there, no line up. The staff that served me was very helpful, she explained all the different keys I could choose from, such a big selection in different sizes. I chose a larger key with a butterfly ?. Now I can see which one it is straight away. She was very careful to make sure it matched my key and filed down the sharp edges. I could not have wished for better service. Definitely going back again ?

One of the large Canadian Tire stores in Ottawa. I enjoyed interacting with the staff as they were knowledgeable and did their best to help me find the product I was looking for. The store has great X-mas decorations.
