Visited recently and found that location to be very windy and sites to be quite close to each other. If you are visiting on a very busy weekend you can expect it to be potentially crowded. The site owner seems to be very strict and judgmental. We arrived to a closed gate that we had to open and we proceeded in and followed the signs to sign in the office. No one was in the office and we called out but no one came, we waited a few more minutes then proceeded on our way. We went to our site and a few minutes later the owner came and scolded us for not signing in or waiting longer. That felt very unwelcoming as we did our due diligence but was scolded for not doing more. Also $45/night + a $250 deposit seems a little steep for what you are getting.

What a wonderful experience camping here. Camp host, Arnie and dog Bear, greeted us with big smiles. He also suggested we move our party out into the field as the trees we were slated to be at were going to be a mosquito buffet. Boy, was he right! The stay was amazing as it wasn't crowded and the secluded nature of the site made for one of greatest displays of stars I've ever seen. The boat dock made for a great jumping spot into the water. The rocks on the beach are perfect for skipping Portapotties were extremely clean and trips to them weren't a dread. The only things that we didnt like was the mosquitoes and the road leading up. Both of which, as we're told, are going to improve. Would highly recommend to families. This place is a gem!

My first ever camping experience was here just last night. It’s so secure and private with abundant space to spread out. Situated right at the lakeshore, it offers so much nature. Also, I would really like to mention our host who goes above and beyond to make sure we are having a great stay. In the middle of nowhere, you are all disconnected from the world as there is no network which gives you a real chance to connect with self and the moment. I was so worried about my sister whom I left in labour and this guy let me make a call to my family to find out the news. I would be ever grateful to him. And would highly recommend this spectacular camp.

Nice clean campground. It's only been open for six weeks but it looks like they are developing the land nicely for a perfect layout. Don't go here if you want to party. It is a family type camp ground. Grounds are ORV friendly so you can ride right from your spot.

It was a great place for relaxing and camping. It was recently opened and they're still improving the place. However, one thing I want to point out is it was fairly windy when we went camping late in August. So having an RV or trailers are recommended because we felt that our tent will be blown away, seriously. In addition, there's no network connection in this place, so be warned.

Honestly one of the most gorgeous and amazing places to go camping with a tent. Went on a bank holiday weekend and it wasn't too busy. Area is pristine and well looked after. One of the best campsites I've ever been to. You have a choice of camping in the woods or slightly in the open in the lots. We chose the open as it gives you more open space for kids to play and view of the night sky. Camp staff regularly empty trash and check on cleanliness of portaloos (which were really clean the whole time we stayed). We went with a young family so we recommend lots of activities and toys to keep them happy and entertained. Bring yourself some firewood or buy from the camp ground itself. Failing that you can always get some dry driftwood or dead branches from the nearby woods. Highly recommend you get a nice warm fire going through the night for smores and general warmth. The camp provides a metal campfire enclosure at each lot. We also bought a gas BBQ with us for cooking. The night sky is pretty amazing so bring yourself some good binoculars or a telescope. Best I have seen hands down! The camping site doesn't have water or electricity so make sure you bring enough food and water for essentials like drinking, cooking and cleaning. You will be roughing it in a tent so just make sure you come prepared. If you stay in the open section of the camping in a tent, make sure you are really pegging down your tents strongly. Mountain weather does mean that with temperature changes throughout the day, wind will rush down the mountains and over the plain. We witness a few unfortunate souls whose tents ended up doubling as kites. If the wind does pick up, move your vehicle to block the direction of wind and break down its strength. Failing that get yourself some stronger pegs like we did that won't bend or flex, and go deeper into ground. Lastly, two things. First is that the last section of the drive from Harrison Hot Springs to the campsite is through logging roads.... pretty rough but don't need a 4 wheel drive to do it.....just kids with stomachs of steel to deal with all the bumps and potholes as well as inclines, declines and curves. Second is to be aware the portaloos have urinals in them - we had a laughing fit when we realised a neighbour of ours thought they were a sink to wash hands and the cake was a soap. Don't make the same mistake ? Enjoy your stay!

The most beautiful place! You can’t see it in many photos but there’s a forest area as well for tent camping if you don’t prefer the open area. The staff made the trip next level amazing. Bob and Judy are so caring and lovely, they really are about you. We lost our axe and didn’t bring enough firewood. Bob made sure we were covered. They constantly make sure the sites are clean and safe. We can’t wait to come back and see them and the beautiful location. Thank you Cogburn!
