I contacted the owner/manager to advise them and he did offer my money back if we returned with the pastries but it was not worth the drive. He did not seem phased by my complaint and said he's not going to bother telling me it's fresh bc I have my opinion. I suggested he take a look in house at their practices.

Was a bit too crunchy and didn’t compliment the cream well. Maybe if I got a fresh one the results would be different. The horseshoe pastry I got is the same case. I didn’t really taste any popping flavour from it. Just powdered sweet bread from the taste disappointingly. The almond square is tasty and as you can see there is a generous helping of almonds all around which is always welcomed ;).

I have to say that the guy who appears to be the owner isn’t exactly friendly and definitely not accommodating to your needs. You’d be pressed to get a smile never mind a greeting. I asked for a side of bacon and he refused to sell it to me unless it was in a sandwich, purchased with a breakfast or in a breakfast. He told me that he doesn’t make money on it if it’s sold as a side. I hate to break this to you but I don’t care how you price your menu, just try to accommodate the request. The order of home fries came out as regular fries but my wife told me to just forget it. It’s a bit of a shame because with the right customer service this place could be a destination. Instead, it feels a bit intimidating to order unless you’re a regular Portuguese customer. 3 stars because the food is good and the service isn’t always bad.

They have a really nice patio set up now during Covid. Buy six, no tax... They don't accept credit card, so be sure to bring cash or debit...

Fell apart after cutting through the rock hard crust. UNEATABLE! We threw it all out to the garbage. Similar to the rude service received upon arrival. We will never return.
