ZERO STAR Hired this service 2 days ago to clean my fathers empty home, to get ready for sale. They came 30 mins late, immediately complaining about heat, yes it was cold the furnace had just broken, I was unaware. I immediately went and bought 2 space heaters. They were calling me within 10 mins of being gone to tell me they were worried about hypothermia, it’s was 8 degrees. I was in the same house they were, it was cold but certainly not hypothermic! I told them maybe they should go home, and we could do it another time, they said no it’s fine! I left them at the home to finish the job and let themselves out (door locks from the inside) and they would provide me with photos. I received close up photos of certain areas, seemed okay. Then before they left I asked them to please make sure the heaters were unplugged and the house was secure. Erika, texted me saying “oops we’ve already left and I left the heater on because it was cold” this was so unsafe, and I had to then drive 40 mins both directions to unplug the heater. I paid them $400 which they needed immediately, and stupidly I agreed. When I arrived back at the house they had left it a mess. The widow sills disgusting, the fans literally covered with inches of dust, and the tub was filthy. Not to mention they left a bag of garbage sitting right at the front door. I messaged her with my surprise and disappointment, she told me she was unable to think clearly due to the “conditions” because it was so cold she was shivering and unable to work, this is why they may have missed a few things. When I left the house was warm and she was in a t shirt. She then said she dumped the water from the carpet shampooing machine into the tub, so it was left and not washed out??! I asked for a receipt, nothing. I wanted a partial refund and told her my disappointment, expressing I am open to her coming back to remedy the problem, and she has called me a bully, and told me she has lawyers. I was referred by a third party who is also horrified! Then I looked them up, no surprise they have a 1.6 review on google. They are total scam artists, super rude, not once apologizing, only making excuses and blaming the situation. It’s ridiculous, and this is not a business that has any idea what they are doing on any level. If I could give zero stars I would. Horrific experience!!!!!

I hired Butterfly Cleaning Services to deep clean my apartment based on their package they advertised as their specialty in cleaning apartments when you move out. The day they came to clean, I met with them and we looked at the apartment together and we agreed that Shampooing the carpets would not be included but everything else would be. Erika asked me to settle up the bill in advance with cash. She said it would be $288.00 inclusive of taxes. I felt a little funny paying in advance but I agreed to it. In fact I even gave her $320 (a small gratuity) to ensure the job was done well so I would not have to stress about it. Erika, the owner, sent me pictures of the job they did and the pictures looked pretty good but she did not send wide shots of things just close up pictures. However, when I showed up to do the final inspection with the building manager, the condition they left the apartment in was completely unacceptable. They didn't even complete half of the work they said they would and the place was still really dirty. They didn't even vacuum, clean the blinds, baseboards, doors and bathroom properly. I was in shock at how bad of a job they did. I have no way of knowing how long they were actually there, but they have led me to believe the two of them were cleaning for 4 hours +. I work in the hotel industry and I work closely with out housekeeping department and so I have a very good idea of what can accomplished in 4 hours with 2 hard working people. When I reached out to Erika to let her know that I as well as the building manager was not satisfied with the job, she became very defensive and claimed that she stands behind her work and that this was unreasonable of my building manager to expect better than this. Erika offered to come back and maybe touch a few things up. But this was not an option because I was literally handing over my keys and the painter was coming in right behind me. The building manager deducted $230 off of my damage deposit ($130 for carpets and $100 for cleaning). I was prepared to except the $130 for carpets but I was quite disappointed to have already paid $320 to have the place spotless except for the carpets and I think my building manager actually took it easy on me by only deducting $100 for cleaning when in fact she likely could have deducted more considering the condition Butterfly Cleaning had left it in. I explained this to Erika, the owner, and she is considering this a dead issue since I could not take her up on the offer to return and do "touch ups". She has also not provided me a receipt which I had previously requested and this business has taken advantage of me and many others I am certain.

I had a similar experience to Sasha in another review. This company is very unprofessional and has such poor customer service. Their staff members were all so rude! It is no surprise because the owner is the same as well - unresponsive to any complaints that I directed to them directly. There are many other cleaning services in the Lower Mainland, please use one of those instead. It can't be any worse than this company.

Erika was very responsive and clearly committed to her work. We had a few issues and she needed go back and clean the bathroom tiles and kitchen cabinets again, however the job got done in the end!

My experience with Butterfly Cleaning Services over the last 3 years as a client has been exceptional. They are very accommodating, thorough and a delight to have in my home. Look forward to their every visit and always have a hot cup of coffee awaiting them upon arrival.

We have been using Butterfly Cleaning Services for over 4 years and would highly recommend their services. Erika and Rosita are professional, extremely hard working, flexible and have great attention to detail when cleaning. They use their own equipment, work safely, and diligently. We used another service before Butterfly Cleaning, but they do a much better job. We wouldn't be using their services for over 4 years (and counting!) if we weren't happy with them!

My family has been using Butterfly Cleaning Services for more than 15 years. They come weekly and do an excellent job. Not only are they reliable, they are trustworthy. We have money and all sorts of valuables around and have never worried about any loss. The owners, Erika and her mother Rosa are lovely human beings and it has been a joy to get to know them and their lovely family all these years. I have been using cleaning services for 30 years and until Butterfly Cleaning has become our weekly service provider, I was never pleased with any service before. When I read some of the negative postings, it makes me wonder if they are in fact competitors instead of customers.
