Honestly wish there was a zero star rating. My mother in law was in love with a cat she met and visited for 5 months. She adopted another cat back in december. But when she wentt to adopt this cat and they rejected her. For . No. Reason. They said that she would need to volunteer for 3-4 days a week and after that they changed their story and said another cat would have to be adopted that is outgoing. Like what? These animals are waiting for loving homes, but when someone is devoted to having a new furbaby ,they get rejected. This needs to change. As of right now I do not recommend supporting them at all. ? Very unprofessional.

Beware they are very single minded on who they will allow to adopt, they set you up and get you attached and then demean you when you are ready. They group all military men and women as undesirable to allow to have a pet yet claim they support dog therapy. When all is said and done they have no one but themselves to blame that they are over crowded and have too many dogs and cats to manage. I will definitely look at sending my supporting to an different organization that look at each person as a separate case and not paint all with the same brush

My daughter got the best dog, Arlo, from there two years ago. He works as the greeter at our store, Total Farm Supply, and he brings so much happiness to our family, staff and customers

wanted to adopt a dog filled their questionnaire and than they decided that all the dogs must have a fence yard at their home to be adopted.

Don't bother trying to volunteer if you work varying shifts. If you can't commit to the same time every week they don't accept your offer of help. Guess I'll keep volunteering with other rescues instead. Tracy is also incredibly rude, unprofessional and just mean. There is also currently a dog named Valor that was a sweetie to start, and something has happened that he now attacks everyone and they refuse to keep him contained, or even have someone with him at all times to control him, not even on a leash. Very unprofessional and unsafe for volunteers.

A short story: Why I chose to not work with rescues after 6 years and why The Brandon Humane society was 1/3 to ruin this. The first rescue I volunteered and fostered for gave me a stolen dog off a reserve, the owners harassed and threatened my daughter and I. The second rescue I volunteered and fostered for, I ended up having a foster fail, adopted this sweet pup. Months later she got into a fight with my other dog and ended up ripping her ear to pieces, left multiple puncture wounds on her body, bit my arm and would not let go, and also bit my boyfriends hand. When I contacted the rescue to surrender her, they said this was a bad time for them (Christmas) and would not be able to take her back. The poor dog was left in a kennel in our home for A MONTH -we had a 5 year old in the house, so this was not an option- until after many messages from myself, concerned family and friends, they took her back when it was more convenient for them. The Brandon Humane Society was the last rescue I worked with. *without too much detail* Recently I was contacted about an ex-boyfriends adoption application, to which I had no business being apart of in the first place as I was not a personal reference on the application. I was asked questions which they stated would stay β€œconfidential, of course.” The next day I heard that Tracy Munn had gone absolutely ballistic on said ex boyfriend and told him β€œeverything I had shared” in confidence. Incredibly unprofessional and embarrassing for someone who is head of The Brandon Humane Society. Bottom line, learn from my mistakes and get to know who you’re working with. Fostering is a lot more than giving a dog/cat a safe home with lots of love.

Pretty sad nobody can just walk in and take a look at the dogs without emailing and making an appointment. My daughter was so excited to go look at the animals and possibly fostering a cat or dog so we just drove away disappointed

Tracey and Farran were absolutely wonderful. They were so patient in letting me spend a few hours with the dogs to adopt the one who really tugged on my heart strings. It's obvious they have a lot of love for all the dogs there.
