I recently adopted a handsome Coonhound puppy from the Kelowna SPCA. This was my first time adopting, therefore I was unfamiliar with the process. However, the entire staff at the SPCA were so helpful, confident and cheerful making the adoption process breeze by with ease. They were able to answer all of my questions and offer sound advice. Through my eyes, the amount of love and affection this amazing group of individuals have for the animals they shelter and care for is astounding! Yet for them, it's just another day doing what they love to do, and what they are sincerely passionate about. The generosity from all of their sponsors, as well as the SPCA and its staff members was another unexpected but well received kindness. I truly and sincerely could not have asked for a better experience! From the bottom of my heart I thank you all for everything you have done for me and any others with plans to adopt. But most of all, thank you for everything you have done, and continue to do for the animals under your care! Sincerely, James

I'm a Volunteer here at the Kelowna SPCA and I absolutely love it! It's helped me with my mental well being! I suffer from some minor social anxiety but it just melts away when I'm at the SPCA!! the animal's are lovely and there's always something to help with, but the people are also very kinda and welcoming!!

More interested in adoption fees then returning lost and found pets to their rightful owners. Recommend the apparent supervisors will benefit from customer service training.

Experience was wonderful. Staff and animal specialist were very knowledgeable about the cat I did adopt. Centre was very clean as well. Great protocols in place for covid19. Thank you all. Keep up the great work with our furry friends.

These folks do not speak for animals. I called to ask for assistance for my sick cat Jimmy.8 was informed that they do not help animals that are suffering & to call different Vets offices because prices do vary.

Being that I hope volunteered at the spca in quesnel for over 10 years I understand working at a shelter can be a trying experience dealing with the public. However, I found the staff here specifically Emmie to be very rude and could benefit greatly from person to person communication training. So much so I will no longer support spca.

I discovered a stray cat living inside a bush in a small grass area. She meowed at me and eventually I realised that I wasnt imagining it. She was maybe 3 or 4 years old and very vocal, she wanted to be friendly but I only got to pet her after going home and returning with food and water. The area she was living in was maybe 5 ft by 15 ft, surrounded by a concrete curb and beside a loading dock and large garbage bin. She ate and drank then hid back in her bush when a security vehicle pulled up, the man got out and asked me what I was doing and told me to leave. So after arguing with him for about 20 minutes I went home. I woke up and discovered that it had been snowing all night and there was a few inches coating the ground. I dug my pet carrier out of storage, grabbed cat food, treats and a small blanket. It was not a great experience tricking the poor thing with treats and quickly closing the door of the carrier, she was scrambling and I put her in the passenger seat and buckled her in. When I pulled up at the spca I saw the sign on the locked door saying that they were seeing people by appointment only, I knocked on it and tried to see if anyone was inside. Luckily a lady came and cracked the door asking what I was needing. I told her about the stray cat and where I had found her living in the bush, now in the snow. She opened it more and said to grab her and bring her inside, they took my info and asked more about her then agreed to take her in and get her checked out and settled. I was so relieved that they were not going to turn me away until I had made an appointment. She was so cute, if I could have kept her I definetly would have. Thanks to the SPCA in Kelowna I'm sure she was adopted in no time and I hope she's being loved by someone that appreciates and adores her.
