This complaint is not about the doctor, he is fantastic. The receptionist on floor 2 for Dr. Thomas is outradgeously rude...and she gets away with it. I called the College of Physicians and Surgeons today to ask how to report doctor admin issues. Im reading the reviews and everyone has the same complaint on here..the reception. Its one of them only, she is a hatful unprofessional mess and is allowed to treat people terribly. I was hung up on again today...each and every time she answers there is an issue. She must be a doctor's wife as there is no way she would still have a job if she wasnt.....there is no point to having a great doctor if you have anxiety each time you have to make an appointment. I just cannot believe this..its unheard of and Ive already reported her 4 times yet she keeps behaving the same way. I wish everyone on this board could collectively write a letter to the clinic owner as someone has to do something. The only choice I am left with is to find another doctor even though i have a great report with my doctor. This receptionist is effecting peoples access to medical care and it simply cannot continue. Im thinking of contacting my lawyer to see if anything can be done,.

So happy I found this place! After a horrendous experience at Courtice Health Centre, I called Bowmanville Health Centre in tears to see if they could accept me 2-year-old daughter. I was so happy to finally find a place I could take my daughter to actually get checked by a doctor! They also gave me a free ticket to exit the parking lot. I was so happy! Completely opposite experience from the place I went before.

What is the point of a Walk-in clinic if they do don’t take walk in patients? Absolutely garbage! You replied... Response from the owner 2 hours ago Hi Bruce. Why do you say that Urgent Care doesn't take walk-in patients? They do (at this time), though you do need to pass a COVID-19 self-test first. They have signs posted, and you can get the code you need on the home page of our website: bowmanvillehealthcentre.com. Look on the right side of the page for the information. Circumstances may change in an instant because of the Omicron variation, ongoing Delta virus, and more. Please stay tuned to news from the Ministry of Health, Durham Region Health Department and so on as these are not "normal" times and circumstances may change. Should this have not been explained at the desk? Instead of just being told sorry, we do do walk-ins! I will stick with garbage and I found a far more professional place.

Normally I’m not one for review writing, but Myself and my two year old saw dr moolla today, in the urgent care clinic, on a stat holiday. Not only was the process quick, but the doctor was patient, and examined me with me as I breastfed my infant then walked my toddler through everything he was doing to keep him confident and comfortable as he examined him. We had a quick diagnosis, prescriptions faxed to the pharmacy directly and overall a worthwhile drive from Whitby. I’m sure we’ll be back, with confidence we’ll get great care.

Highly DO NOT recommend and would have liked to give no stars because one is being generous. I never write these things however, I was appalled by my experience today. I went in today for my first ever appointment with Dr. Popovic. She came in and immediately made mention of the fact that her next appointment was starting very shortly. As I was explaining why I was there, she cut me off and told me “you’ll have to hurry up because you are now going in to the next appointments time”. I had literally been in the room for two minutes max. I said excuse me I didn’t realize I was on a time constraint. And if that were the case the receptionist should have updated my personal information after my appointment. She said well what would you have me do, make the next person wait? I said yes, It’s a doctors office. People always have to wait. At that point I just stood up and excused myself. She told me if I left that she would no longer be my family doctor and I told her that was fine because she made me feel uncomfortable and I do not want to be uncomfortable with my family doctor. It very much seems she is just trying to get the appointments done quickly to bill OHIP and does not care about her patient’s or to stay a minute longer than her shift.

Ridiculous experience. Urgent care says open to 8 pm. I arrived at 430 - the inside door is locked with no sign, but a receptionist working away. I called explaining that I was in for allergy shots - she said the doctor decided to stop taking patients for the day… I could understand if it was 2 hours before closing but it was 430. I asked if there’s any way a nurse could administer and she let me know that it wasn’t fair to give an appt, even if it was just for the nurse. Around 10 minutes later, I was heading out of the parking lot, thinking they wouldn’t charge and have a little grace period as the whole reason I went there wasn’t even available. I dialed at the parking lot and they told me I would still have to pay because I could be lying (I’m almost positive it was the same person I talked to when I called urgent care reception). Whole situation was ridiculous for a five minute procedure. Avoid going here if you can.

I walked in today and saw a fantastic doctor named Dr. Stone, he was very thorough and kind. First timers in New location in 222 King Street building. I told him my problems and he listened which to a patient is extremely important. Very happy that you can just walk into this clinic and the wait was about 5 mins today. So I give it an A+. Ty Dr. Stone.

I’d like to give a big complement to the receptionist at the clinic this morning. She was very kind and understanding and I watched as she tried to help a mom alone with 2 kids. What a long way some kindness can go. This must be a very stressful job and I can’t say enough about her. I had to wait about 50 minutes but the Dr was very good and took her time with me. I cannot remember her name.
