★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped in and picked up a quick dinner. They followed covid protocols and food was delicious. Staff was friendly and efficient. We didn't have to wait long at all even though they were busy. Will be coming here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was efficient while still friendly. The wait person had the most monotone voice ever, but she made sure my dining experience was as pleasant as possible. The decor was dated but everything was very clean.
The food was just OK though. I ordered the cod with poutine and a side of tartar. I appreciated that the tartar was homemade and not from a packet. The cod, though, was only average. The batter was light, but the flavour was lacking. The fish was dry. The fries in my poutine were not crispy enough and the gravy had no hearty flavour to it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff are incredible at Captain George’s. a Good Friday staple for our family and they run a tight ship. The food was fresh and delicious with excellent sized portions. If I were to recommend a fish and chips spot, it would be Captain George.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ my it was busy for a little shop.We got the family size fish and chips and by the time we got home they were very soggy not their fault just covid. What I was not impressed with was the fish that they gave us was three decent pieces but not even the same size as you would get with an original halibut and chips maybe half the size for each and those were the big pieces and then there was three little bite-sized pieces and so therefore our family had to divide and conquer and there was whining. Besides that I would recommend going there just maybe eat your food directly as soon as you leave the building and make sure that they don't rip you off of your fish before you leave

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thought I'd try them via Skip. Everything was fine, ordering and delivery, but that changed when I opened my bag. The piece of fish was absolutely pathetic, about the size of a piece of frozen fish you'd get from Captain Highliner. Not only that, but completely dried out from being over cooked and actually fell apart when I tried to place it on my plate.
The picture doesn't do it justice, it looked more like battered shrimp. No way they should be charging $17 for that, and the reason I'll never order from there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was amazing. We got halibut. Nice thick peices of fish. The fries were really good too. The onion rings were good.. nothing special, just the reg frozen ones that you buy. The lady (I believe the owner) was really mad about something.. going off like crazy. I was disgusted by what she was saying to her workers about the customer she was talking about. Not a good look ,very unprofessional. But... the food was great ?
