Over the last decade I have spent thousands of dollars at the Bosley's Shelbourne St store. I faithfully took advantage of the Senior's discount, once I qualified, on the last Thursday of the month. I would buy a months supply at a time. I work part time, retail at a hardware store that also offers a seniors discount weekly. My work days changed & I could no longer get to this store on the last Thurs of the month. I explained the changes & as I was a good long term customer the manager Shawnie offered me a card that would give me a discount each time. This arrangement has been in effect for a couple of years. My card expired but continued to be honored. Recently I asked for an update to my card. Once again I explained the situation & even offered a new arrangement that they move my seniors discount to the last Tues of the month. I was issued a new card with the same conditions as before. Now less than a week later I receive a phone call from a staff member, that as per the owners instructions, that they will not honor the card they have just given me. I object that the owner having made this decision did not call me. As the decision was made by the owner, asking an employee to have to call a customer to advise them that the discount will not be honored shows poor leadership. I will be telling my story to all my dog buddies in the days to come. Treating long term customers in such a manner is bad for the Bosleys brand. As to the discount, in the big picture it is not that much money and I don't really care. How it was handled & the lack of flexibility & gumption from the owner shows a lack of appreciation for his staff & his customers. Staff & manager are great, prices are competitive but the ownership doesn't seem to understand that it pays to work with the customers. Long term it improves your profitability and builds goodwill. "A dissatisfied customer tells between 9 to 15 people about their poor experience. And, nearly 13 percent of those dissatisfied customers tell more than 20 people"

Great Doggie Store - The best squish/squeaky toys for my dog. Staff is always professional, happy and greeting you with a smile.

Thank you to the lovely person who just helped me with my cat litter. I have a bad back and knee so it was much appreciated and they were so nice and cheerful thank you so much.

Does anyone even work there? No help whatsoever. I suggest shopping elsewhere.

I (and my cat) love their selection of food and toys. I like the variety of healthy yet still affordable cat food, and their selection of cat toys. I know a lot of people will get fancier toys just for the cat to end up preferring something plain like hair elastics - Bosley's has a section of similar simple toys for a buck or two that are by far and away my cat's favourites. 10/10 to whoever picks what cat toys to stock. The staff has also been very friendly and helpful. It's always pleasant popping in for more food, and we really appreciated their assistance with deciding what supplies to get on our first visits when we were stocking up for our cat (our first cat ever).

Worst customer service ever. My husband and I were looking to buy harness for our dogs. Our dogs were in the car parked outside the store. We did not bring the leash for the dogs to bring them into the store, so my husband asked the worker if we could just step outside and put it on for the dogs to see if the sizes fit. The car parked just outside the door, they can see us. The worker said:” no, we don’t feel comfortable for you to bring the product outside without pay first.” The other worker then came and after hearing the request, she gave us the weirdest look ever as we were thieve. This is not the first time I had bad experience with this particular store. Go to the Bosley on Yates, they are thousand times better.

We just got a new puppy and we took him to this location to buy him a few things. There was an excellent selection and the staff were friendly and attentive. This is our new pet store and we are very happy about it! Great job to Alex and the rest of the staff working on 28th of December... while braving a snow storm!!! Now our baby has sweaters to stay warm!!!
