Was going to get a new bank account here but they obviously don't care about customers/clients. Their locations are only open from 10am to 4pm on weekdays, and closed on the weekends. So I am wondering, who exactly is their demographic? People on assistance? Are employed people expected to take a day off of work to be able to use their banking service? "Oh please can i use up my sick days just for banking?, or lose a days wage just for banking?" Also, I attempted to contact bmo to ask if they'd be reevaluating their hours anytime in the future, but you can't do that either. You need an account/profile to even email them. With all the other banks available you guys make it easy to choose somewhere else

I have been a patron of BMO for just over 10 years. I have never come across such a rude and disorganized location. I have had my money mishandled several times since this location opened. Once again today my money was mishandled; after realizing they seriously messed up... again.. they proceeded to be quiet and not apologize or make the situation better. After the severe amount of disrespect for me; as a customer and for my time, today (and prior occasions); I will be leaving this banking institution entirely. I have left a voicemail as well; stating my name, situation, and contact information.

Hours are terrible. Went to pay a bill here and they were closed before 5pm. Glad this isn't my bank of choice. Large "Now Open" sign in the window, but no posted hours and all gated up. Now that the bank is open it is consistently the longest I've ever waited in line at a bank. Lined out the door with only two tellers working on a Thursday at 3:45. Terrible efficiency. Pure frustration every time I have to go here to pay a bill.

This bank is so horrible… My son started a new position and received a cheque for his work… He’s been at this bank for a year and has maintained a good standing throughout. The cheque that he received from his work is a BMO cheque. They wouldn’t cash it and want to hold the majority of his money for five business days. They won’t even cash their own cheques for their customers, this seems so crazy to me.. Not only that, my son felt harassed for even having a cheque in the first place and felt very small and demeaned by the bank teller, and when asked to speak to a manager a manager never came and she denied treating my son in a negative way… It isn’t under his control which way he was paid by his employer.. I was speaking with another teller who was very condescending, but at least explained the policy better… Here’s my issue with this. First of all Bank of Montreal should be cashing their own cheques regardless if it’s the first cheque that the person has ever cashed. This is just good business. Secondly, the policies that are in place in this regard are oppressive to their customers. BMO’s need to safeguard fraud and scammers and the policies that are put in place have direct consequence on their customers ,this is wrong. People should not have to wait for their hard earned money. Also, the bank tellers should have a little empathy in regards to the situation instead of making customers feel like because they want their hard earned money when they need it, it’s too bad it’s their problem and they just have to deal with it because they have to cover their butts so they’re holding your money hostage. Definitely feels like it’s not your money and it’s theirs as you don’t have access to it for these long processing times. While I understand that it is out of the bank tellers hands what the policies are… customers should not be consistently told what BMO can’t do for them from the get-go without even looking at your account.. They suggested that I advance my son the money until they are willing to release his hard earned money to him, so again putting the consequence on the customer because of their oppressive policies… From the other reviews that I’ve read, I am not the only person who feels this way about the customer service at this branch… I will be visiting another branch even though it is out of my way from now on And considering my options for transferring myself and my son to another bank… horrible experience..

Customer service! This is a brand new branch, they merged two together. Everything is new, there are more staff available and you can actually sit down and talk with someone who takes the time to help you with YOUR specific needs. I work with Julia and she is great. I can ask her anything and she responds immediately and goes out of her way to help me.

First time here on friday, needed to get a bank draft to my landlord to pay my first and last months rent. Prudence was amazing I was treated so kindly and didn’t feel judged at all. Because I had never gotten a bank draft before Prudence even explained the difference between a bank draft and money order to me and took time to explain to me what I needed to do with it. I also got offered to set up an appointment to help me manage my money. I felt much more confident after speaking with Prudence, if you go here and Prudence is working you know you are in good hands!
