This morning we got up and left the safety and comfort of our homes. We said goodbye to our partners, children, pets, we took off our soft pants and suited up for work. We are here because we want to be, not because we must be. We are not essential.

Dining with us today is not essential, it is not a right, it is a privilege.

We will endeavor to be kind, respectful, civil and patient. Hopefully we will be pleasant, friendly, fun and joyful. We hope you will be these things too!

We are facing even more restrictions than ever before which will create more challenges and pressure for our team. Our ethos has always been people before profits and taking care of the many over the one. At NO time has this resonated more than right now.

Tanya, Tanya and Patrick were so lovely, made sure we had a good time, and the food and cocktails were amazing! Don’t miss the Blue Tuque when you’re in town :) We’ll be back!

The food is consistently fantastic, the atmosphere is chill and cool and the service is great and always efficient, happy and polite. The entire staff truly cares about your experience from the moment you arrive and it is very obvious there is a passion in this diner that the guests become a part of. Do yourself a favor and visit this incredible diner in downtown Fernie! Side note: Must try the Bao Buns & The Lemonades... To Die For!!

I'm not the type of person to send food back to the kitchen, so we managed by scraping all the uncooked parts off. Like I said though, the service was good and the place is nice. But I expected better after spending nearly $50 after tip on brunch for 2. Maybe it's a new cook, unfamiliar with this kitchens equipment or something. Hopefully they get it sorted out.

Despite some statements on other reviews, our service there has been excellent. We arrived late in the day for a meal on our last visit, but were not rushed out even though we were the last patrons. The atmosphere is rustic but chic. The mimosa flights are superb. The food is high quality. Artwork from local artists is displayed on the walls and is for sale. This place is good for a family yet is also appropriate for a date. I'm a frequent tourist in Fernie and will happily return to Blue Toque on a future visit.

M	Munchica on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cute place for brunch situated inside the art gallery/railway station. It has OEB breakfast chain vibes with Asian inspired dishes too. The presentation was nice. You could stuff your own bao buns with beef Brisket and a bunch of veggie toppings including kimchi. They also have creative classics like poached eggs on English muffins and waffles with neat toppings like candied jalepeno and fig jam. Tasted great.
