Nevados Tapas & Tequila - Fernie

Amazing food. Flavors and variety are spectacular. Great service, love the atmosphere and the vibe. Plating looks fantastic and tasted even better. Can't wait to eat here again

Unique spot with great food, the tacos are good but the pork ribs are to die for. Tequila selection is surprisingly good. The staff are very friendly, particularly Cameron who went out of his way to make our visit really pleasant. Highly recommended!

The waitress we had was lovely! The food was AMAZING! We got the salmon, beef & chicken tacos. Each was so satisfying and had great flavor. The margaritas are delicious as well, and made with high quality Tequilas... no Jose here ?

I did not expect to find a place like this in Fernie! I was passing through town for one night on a road trip through the Kootenays and looking for a place to have dinner after a long day of driving. After seeing multiple listings for places with elk burgers on the menu, finding Nevados was a pleasant surprise. Not only is it out of the norm for a mountain town, they have way more than just tacos, too! The bartender made us a few incredible drinks, and the food menu offers a lot of variety from different Latin American cuisines. If you're trying to decide where to eat in Fernie, do not hesitate to choose Nevados!

Delicous food here. Such variety of foods to try too. The patacones were refreshingly savory. Creative and diverse taco flavours too. The beet and mushroom taco was particularly good. Love the freshness in the food here. Great quality and service. Worth trying again and again.

Service     4 We came on a rather busy day. They took our name and phone number and texted us when our table was ready. That gave us some time to explore the downtown area. Each dish made its it's way to us in a timely manner at separate intervals. We never had a crowded table, and we were never wondering where our food was. The multiple servers who helped us were nice, and efficient. Although when asked for an option between two dishes, she answered "both are good." I DO believe both are good, but it wasn't a helpful answer. Environment     4.5 I like the logo. It was dark, but just enough so it felt intimate. Music is loud which provides a certain night life quality. The art and decor wasn't very reminiscent of Spanish food. Each dish was presented with care. I wish I had been sitting further in the back, as I saw into the open kitchen on my way to the bathroom. I like that the bathroom was private as opposed to a stall bathroom and had the same lighting as the rest of the restaurant. Taste     5 Each dish delivered an immeasurable amount of flavour and excitement. Even the dishes that weren't my favorite (for example the Papas en Salsa Roja) satisfied my taste for adventure. There is a complexity to each dish, leaving me wondering "why was that so good." Definitely an experience I am happy I had. My favorite dish of the night (and my girlfriend's favorite) was the Beef Arepa. The texture of the Arepa itself was fluffy, and crispy; almost flaky. I found the Papas en Salsa Roja to be a little too rich for my liking. It was also missing something I feel. Perhaps a bit of spice on the potatoes. But I haven't eaten a dish like that before, so maybe I'm the one who is wrong. Satisfaction/price     3 This is where it gets kinda hard. This is a tapas restaurant, so we ordered a number of small dishes ranging from $5 to $8. We ordered margaritas as well. When a restaurant advertises "Tapas and Tequila" you bet I'm gonna drink some tequila. 1.5 oz for 12 dollars. It tasted like a margarita. All in all me and my girlfriend left with full bellies, and full hearts. All at the cost of about $120 Conclusion     5* A the end of the day, what i was paying for was a really fun night of trying new things with my girlfriend in beautiful downtown fernie. I would definately suggest this experience to anyone who adores good food. I feel bad for the next restaurant inst at, because it sure won't live up to the quality that Nevados brought to me.

This place was recommended to us by a local working at one of the nearby pubs. Apparently it can be hard to get into. We went around 9pm and didn't have trouble getting a table, but it was still full. Our waitress was amazing. We ordered a jug of the backhand of god stout, which is hard to get anywhere. She even refilled our glasses. We had to have some tequila of course and enjoyed a coconut style. We ordered the 9 taco platter and received a variety of flavours and spices ranging from mild to hot. Best tacos I have had in while. Everything was fresh and delicious. Thank you for the wonderful experience .
