Bruce Anchor Cruises operates within Fathom Five National Marine Park which occupies some of the most pristine waters in the Great Lakes. Fathom Five is home to numerous historic light stations, over twenty known shipwrecks, and Flowerpot Island.
Our extremely unique and modern glass bottom vessels depart Tobermory on a regular schedule. Our tours operate during the spring, summer, and fall! Within 5 minutes of departing our dock passengers are given an opportunity to view two 19th century shipwrecks, The Sweepstakes and The City of Grand Rapids, resting just a few feet below the surface. Following the shipwreck viewing, we pass by Big Tub Light House (1885). From there we continue on our way to Flowerpot Island. As we cruise around Flowerpot Island passengers will view magical scenery. This scenery includes the historic Flowerpot Light station, the light keeper’s homes, the Flowerpot rock formations and more. If you are planning to hike the island, we dock at Beachy Cove to allow passengers to disembark and explore the island on foot for a couple of hours. The return trip from Flowerpot Island to our dock in Tobermory is about 15 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful and cozy place nestled in the tip of Tobermory, offering stunning views from its backyard. We stayed there for 2 nights and we enjoyed our stay. The service is good and prompt. If we were to visit Tobermory again, here's where we'd stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here the past 2 nights, the receptionist Jen and 2 others who’s name I didn’t catch were very nice and very accommodating. Jen even had some great recommendations for food spots around. Our TV remote did not work fully and they literally brought in a whole new TV for us. If I ever come back to Tobermory, I will be staying here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing amazing and amazing place to stay at. Second time visit to Big Tub Harbour Resort, with the upgrades it has become more irresistible to leave. Enjoyed my days as well as as evenings. The interior is upgraded from last time and it was lovely talking to Jennifer. Sweetest person, she explained about local places to go and local restaurants to enjoy. Plus she gave us discount for the stay. ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I decided on Tobermory as a mini-vacation and booked a queen-bed room at the motel. It was pretty comfortable, had a coffee maker, fridge, dehumidifier and a small TV. I'd say it was a "no-frills" accommodation. It was clean, decently priced and the staff was great!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely balcony with a view of the Harbour. Friendly staff. Room were spacious and beds were comfy.
Very little green space and all docks were reserved for boaters.
Couple of items missing in bathroom: toilet paper holder, hooks for towels and soap dish.
Balcony chairs were uncomfortable but used cushions.
Worked for us as we were busy exploring Tobermory.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Nice rooms, access to kayaks and canoes (at a price). Stunning sunsets and view. Stairs to lake just to relax and swim. Only minor negative is the air conditioning unit in the room is somewhat loud. Other than that this place is a magical place to stay and relax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a pleasant staying, we took the waterfront queen room for two nights. Overall clean, very cozy and fits our expectations for outdoor style weekend. However, the size of the washroom is inconvenient (very narrow shower, may be okay for a me, but already problematic for an average height/mass man). Also, noise isolation is poor (you can hear everyone outside), so unless you're very comfy about it and want to share your wonderful mood, this might be a downside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Can't get enough, my boy friend and I stayed here during covid and this is our new spot. We love how that its got a nice country feel but close to down town. The rooms are gorgeous and the fact that we are right on the water and can cannon right from our hotel room is such a big bonus. Staff is friendly and welcoming. We constantly rave about this place. Highly recommended.
