We could say only nice and good things about Alain & Madelaine. Their project is awesome and so all the efforts and care they put in are worthy because you feel the difference in every detail (the lodge amenities, the notebooks with explanations, the trail paths to the lake, ..). We wish we could come back again in the future... The best vacations ever !
R	Robert Champagne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I surprised my wife with a trip to Alberta for some rest and relaxation. We stayed at the Aurum Lodge for 4 nights and we were very impressed. This little hidden gem is nestled on highway 11. We were able to take day trips to Banff and Jasper and return to this little piece of heaven. The lodge is immaculately clean and very cozy. The views around the property are breath taking. Also, near by you can explore several scenic viewpoints and hiking routes or you could take the drive to Nordegg for some amazing pie at the Miners Café. Our hosts Alan and Madeline were top notch. They were so accommodating of our needs and gave us excellent advice for our day trips. We really enjoyed sitting around the dinner table with them at night and having a laugh. It was like visiting with old friends. Don't overlook this beautiful place If we return to the Rockies, we most definitely will stay here.
J	James Lofgren on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I stayed several nights at this remote but very comfortable eco-lodge about two years. We still talk about and I feel compelled to share our experience with other travelers. First of all, the couple that own and manage the lodge were very friendly and over-the-top hospitable. We had a flat tire and one of the the owners drove over two hours round-trip to get the tire repaired! Five star service. The food was excellent and healthy. The conversations with the owners and fellow guests over meals were interesting and entertaining. The location was remote which was exactly what we were looking for, but not without modern necessities. The emphasis is on environmental sustainability and that does not mean primitive, rather being environmentally conscious. The surrounding landscape is scenic and full of wildlife. Paths from the lodge lead to quiet spots where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, including the lake. The only moose and wolf we saw in Canada were on the road to the lodge. Great, memorable photos! To sum it up, we slept well, ate well, conversed well, and conserved well. We highly recommend the Autumn Lodge and hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. A	Angela L (AL) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent the Family day long weekend at Abraham Lake. Alan and Madeleine had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Cottage was warm, clean and spacious. It's an eco-lodge, so they have solar panels for electricity, gas powered appliances, in-floor heating and well water for drinking. They put a lot of thought into the place and their pride of ownership shows. Located right on the lake. Close to several popular hikes and viewpoints. The hosts had plenty of recommendations. Alan provided sketches of his own hiking maps and they also provide photography classes!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our quiet and peaceful stay at Aurum Lodge. What an amazing experience. There are ample trails right in the backyard where you can go exploring & hiking. Everything from your own personal rock beach, water falls, hikes through mossy forests, and multiple places with lakefront views! This property is 100% off the grid! With no small detail left unattended. Everything from power, water, compost, and even the septic system truly makes you rethink waste, repurposing, minimization, and our overall impact on our environment. We arrived during Covid, and I fully anticipated utilizing two full cans of micro ban to disinfect and sanitize our two bedroom loft apartment. One look around with just how much everything is meticulously maintained I knew this was not necessary at all. Hands-down this is the cleanest and most maintained accommodation we have ever stayed at! Everyone in our family agrees this is one of our favourite places on earth! Hats off to the amazing couple who designed every aspect and truly welcomed us into their beautiful home.

The location is incredible - easy to find off the highway but secluded and surrounded by the most wondrous natural beauty you can imagine. The unit was meticulously clean and well supplied with everything we needed, even thoughtful doggie treats. The owners were very gracious and helpful yet discreet - allowing us privacy but always accessible if we needed something or to provide directions or recommendations. We would return here in a heartbeat! Thank you Alan and Madeleine for a truly wonderful get-away.
e	elisabeth besson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had such a wonderful time at the lodge - 5 days in March that offered a perfect balance of relaxation by the fire (inside and outside of the accommodation) and exploration of hiking trails nearby. The hosts are helpful and they even bought me a present for my birthday that happened to be during my stay! I highly recommend the lodge to anyone who loves the mountains and discovering new hiking grounds!!!
