All non-advisory classified agencies are required to post their most recently tabled Annual Report. The Annual Report includes performance targets, agency performance, financial statements and appointees. Agencies with legislative requirements to table their annual reports are required to do so, and receive approval from the responsible Minister prior to posting their annual report.

Why the OSTC has to post this information:

The government of Ontario recently announced a number of initiatives supporting the Premier’s commitment to Open Government by promoting greater transparency in classified agencies. Beginning April 1, 2015, specific governance documents and expense information for classified agencies are required to be posted on the classified agency or ministry website.

All posted documents, particularly business plans should not disclose:

• Personal information
• Sensitive employment and labour relations information
• Solicitor-client privilege information
• Cabinet confidential information
• Trade secrets or scientific information, technical, commercial, financial or labour relations information of third parties supplied in confidence.
• Information that would prejudice the financial or commercial interest of the provincial agency in the marketplace
• Information that would otherwise pose a risk to the security of the facilities and/or operations of the provincial agency
