β β β β β Tour guide wasn't allowed to come in which made it difficult for some travelers who didn't speak English, overall nice staff who took time to explain and guide us around the house.

β β β β β If you are from China, you are very likely to know this man. I learned about Bethune at a very ealry age, he was like a super star in China. Finally had a chance to visit his hometown and his house after being in Canada for so long.
The mesuem itself is very small, mostly posters. His house was more interesting. You do have to pay a bit more to visit upstairs of the house which is included in a guided tour.
Overall, worth a visit if you are in the area, and if you are curious about why he was so famous in China.

β β β β β Visiting Bethune's memorial house,the staff is friendly, the only thing is to buy basic tickets can not go upstairs, need upgrade tickets . The country was quiet and very beautiful in fall.

Norman Bethune-He is a hero in China even the Second World War has gone for more than 70 years. We Chinese people come here for connecting with his great life, remembering the contribution and healing he built in the hard times for the people of China who were suffering the aggressions and massacre from the brutal pirates. His story interpreted clearly that what a professional doctor would be. His faith encouraged young people from generations to generations to follow his foot prints. Bethune Medical University is one of the best memories in China to extend his spirit: Honesty, Compassion, Valour, Justice, Sacrifice and Honour.

β β β β β Simple museum/memorial. Staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. Museum also has Chinese translations. Overall, a fun trip with the Parks Canada 150 pass.

β β β β β An incredible experience! $3.90 for general entry to the museum where you can learn about this famous Canadian thoracic surgeon. You also have access to the outdoor grounds ans the first floor of the house he was born in. For another $3.90 you can watch a very good 10 minute video and explore the rest of the house, as well as have a unique photo opportunity. Very informative, great for the general public and especially for anyone working or studying in the healthcare field.

β β β β β Visited the Bethune Memorial house today. The grounds are open but the museum and facilities are closed due to Covid19. The grounds are well maintained but the place is deserted. Signage is in English, French and Chinese. Obviously, it is a site of importance to many people. It is worth visiting only if you are in Gravenhurst or the Muskoka area. It is really not worth more than a thirty minute side trip in my opinion. Look at my pictures and tell everyone that you were there. Gravenhurst was his birthplace. He left the place far behind in his life.
