D	D Mac on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A surreal place to watch the lifestyles of the muskoka summer people. A rare breed of fun loving, water babies and their doting, over compensating parental units. A culture unlike no other, raised in excess and hubris. Beware they are everywhere. Colour the picture anyway you want, it still comes out oversaturated and steeped in pretentious affectation if you only visit the warf. Take the time to witness the geography, the lakes that bring peace to your soul and mind. It is a stunning world of rock and trees, the gestalt lives in this communities heart. Art is everywhere. Those that live here year round will welcome you. Be polite and courteous and you may make a friend for life. Take pictures, leave only footprints.

There are a number of restaurants, a few stores and ice cream shop along the wharf. You can see the old steam ships in the harbor and there are a few docks you can walk out on for a view of the lake. It is pretty spread out so you can get some steps and enjoy the fresh air. There is a ton of parking in the area, so that should be an issue.

A couple of places for shopping,ice cream or coffee and a dock for two big ships to tour Muskoka lake. A fantastic please if you are staying in the area to walk there and to have your breakfast/ lunch or dinner or even to grabs a cup of coffee or tea and stay on the water. Some people were fishing, but I am not sure if they did get anything but over all it was a great place with lots of choices.

The views are gorgeous, Muskoka Wharf is a must for a great meal and simply cottage is a must! Ask around and you will find the right place for a sunrise or a sunset....
