★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hadn't been to the dentist in a while, so I figured I would try a new Dr/hygienist. Front desk staff was efficient, but not overly friendly. I only booked in for a cleaning, they didn't inform me that they would also be taking x-rays. (The dentist I used to go to always booked x-rays/dentist consults separately from a cleaning procedure). After an hour of cleaning, only half of my bottom teeth were cleaned an a few of my top molars. Went back to my normal dentist so I could get my cleaning finished and the hygienist said that the cleaning could have been completed in one appointment. Even though I didn't even receive half of the normal cleaning, I was charged for an entire cleaning which greatly affected my dental insurance for the rest of the year. The dentist came in to look at my teeth and it just seemed like they wanted my money. A small cavity in a wisdom tooth turned into them strongly suggesting that I have all 4 removed (without any other options presented since I am still a student), a small crack in a molar led them to wanting to book an appointment for a crown (again... not something I can afford).
Overall I was very disappointed with the service I received and feel like I was greatly overcharged for what I got. What I thought was going to be a one hour, $200 cleaning appointment turned into over 2 hours and a $600 bill that I was not expecting.
Wouldn't recommend going here unless you are very clear about what you want...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my family have been with Dr. Dhaliwal for 10 years and I have no reason to ever look for another dentist. All of the staff have always been understanding and amazing with us. Dr. Dhaliwal knows I have a fear of needles and is always so gentle and caring with me and watches to make sure I'm okay. I'm not sure what I'll do if Dr. Dhaliwal retires!

As one who gets the jitters at the words of going to the dentist the jitters are quickly dispersed due to the kindness and care taken. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So while I have not tried every dentist in Calgary I want so say this is the best dental practice in Calgary. Their work is exceptional and only what is needed. Some other dentists seem to always find some work to do whether it's needed or not. But here that is not the case. I highly recommend the team at Beacon Hill Dental.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my first dental service here in Canada at this clinic. The dental procedures in my experience with them have been good. I think that their staff should be more proactive and transparent to their client as to what the insurance will cover. In my experience, they had booked me for a number of prophylactic treatment while not double checking with my insurance if I have not exceeded my coverage. Good thing I double checked with my insurance or else I might have paid out of pocket.
