★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My previous Charlie - a Parson Jack Russell was adopted 9 years ago and it was rough at the beginning of our relationship. I was convinced by Hope to give some more time and thankfully I agreed and what happened from that day on was my love affair with a most extraordinary dog. Smart, fussy, cantankerous at times, loving and compasionate to other animals, curious, and loved people of all ages. Loved his walks and all the smells!! He was my best friend and was always looking for me if I left the room. He lived his toys and treats and he would talk and talk. The past year he started going down hill fast but he still walked as much as he could and then would ride in the little red wagon right up until the final day.
I miss this little guy more than any person or animal I have lost as he was the very best of the best.
Thank you to Penticton SPCA for the best gift I ever received.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very clean shelter with nice viewing rooms. If you need to surrender an animal, call ahead. They can become full of animals at times and may not be able to accept unexpected animals. Great staff and volunteers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called on the staff at the Penticton SPCA early Monday morning to help me.... my elderly 11 year old St. Bernard had lain down in the yard and was unable to get up. They provided guidance on how best to proceed and came to assist by carrying her and transporting her to a local veterinarian. They showed care and compassion during their involvement.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice, clean, well organised. The entire experience of adoption was good. I even recieved a call from them letting me know they had a pet in mind for us that they felt was a better match than the pet we had filled out an application for. She ended up being the perfect match for us. The staff certainly cares and goes the distance for these sweet pets that are looking for their forever homes. ❤
