Avis Car Rental

Rachel is excellent with great passion in understanding all customer needs via effective communication and always trying her best to create customer satisfaction without compromise company’s interest. We made our buying decision surprisingly fast basing on our high rating on Rachel and trust on BMW.

I was charged by both the booking agent (Expedia) and the car rental place (Avis) for the same car rental. I have spent *hours* on the phone with both places and each says they have no way of knowing what I paid the other person. I have a credit card statement proving it, but neither will look at it. The customer service person at Avis condescended to "explain" to me that when you go to the grocery store you have to pay for them. How can I ever trust that if I book with either Avis or Expedia they will be able to communicate with one another about my booking? UPDATE: the response below resulted in AVIS telling me that they couldn't do anything about the mix-up as it was not within their power to sort it out or communicate with Expedia about it.

This is the place to get you rentals from! Central location, clean vehicles, great service, I was having all sorts of issues, and Jessie was fantastic and went above and beyond to help me out, and of course with a great smile! Thank you so much! 11/10 would recommend!

I had a wonderful experience and would definitely rent from here again. We got our car right away when we arrived. The agent was very accommodating and answered all our questions. By the way if you go there ask for Aseem!! he’s the owner and this guy he’s the best. Thank you Aseem! Thumbs up always.

Rented couple of times at this location. Its a hit or miss honestly in terms of customer service and cleanliness of cars. Most of the times, its pretty good. Very nice people over the counter. The last time i booked a car for a week on holidays break. I walked in and the guy over the counter didn’t have a mask on and i asked about it, he said he was not supposed to wear mask because there was a plexiglass? Alrightyyy, that was a great start. The location was understandably busy because of the holiday break and they didn’t have a car of the class that i initially booked. They offered a van which was the only car available at that moment or to wait until 2pm for someone to bring a car from airport. Went with the van, pictures are attached. Judge for yourself how much cleaning was done for this car. I was able to switch the car at no extra cost in the airport location couple of days later. That was really nice of Avis! Car at the airport came spotless and had the smell of cleaning chemicals which is really comforting nowadays.

I really dislike coming to this Avis location as it is not up to par with any of the other Avis locations I've visited in North America. I rent from Avis on a monthly basis as a corporate employee and this is the worst location I've rented from. It has really limited hours (8-5 and only 9-4 on Sats, 10-3pm, only FIVE hours on Sundays) and doesn't offer after hours pick up or drop off. Their pick up system is very slow as you have to manually pick up the keys from someone at the counter, not from the app/keys left in the car as I'm used to at other locations, and I've waited for almost an hour in line for pick up once and even over 20 mins just to DROP OFF the car. Its limited hours combined with this old system is truly an embarrassment. They don't have a high selection of cars and the 2 cars I rented from them were not up to Avis cleanliness (exterior or interior) or quality check standard. Cars I rented at this location had dirty cup holders, dirty driver and rear passenger seats, and dirty windshields or windows. I understand that it rains a lot here but other locations will take the car to a wash before re-renting. The staff are generally friendly, but they don't adhere to the Avis standard of service I'm used to. For example, as a corporate customer, I almost always pay the rate for gas refill rather than refill it personally to save time. When I rented a car here, the manager insisted I try to fill up the tank before return as she would then have to "send someone out to refill it" if I don't. I've never had this level of insistence before. Unfortunately, on this side of Vancouver it's the only available Avis location. I wouldn't rent here again if I could help it. Otherwise, I really enjoy other Avis locations.

I have rented at this location for years, every time I visit Vancouver. On the most recent visit, my flight was delayed a day into Vancouver/Burnaby and they were very accommodating to let me pick up the car the next day (luckily there were cars available - even though there were shortages every where else). Very friendly staff and they were even able to keep me at the original rental rate even though the rates had gone up. Highly recommended and great service for car rental business!
