Avoid and look elsewhere. Sells LP's on Discogs as "Audio_Basics." I bought an LP box set described as "Mint". What arrived was a still sealed but clearly damaged LP box set. This one man band initially denied it could be damaged, despite being sent 15 photos to the contrary. Abusive feedback the flowed on Discogs, which they judged as illegal and so it was removed. A forced refund then through PayPal was the only means of securing a refund from this rude person. No apology, no pproefssioanl customer service, just all hassle and a waste of time. You can see the consistent pattern of negative behavior at every turn. Again, just avoid and buy elsewhere.

I was introduced to Audio Basics through a good friend. I have to say that it is one of the best referrals I’ve ever had. Although I’ve only communicated via email and telephone, I’m very impressed. I have come to know the owner (Ben Scarcelli) quite well over the past several months. He always makes the time to speak to me, and gives me great advice. He is a very pleasant, sincere, honest man of great integrity. I recently acquired the Okki Nokki Record Cleaning Machine from Ben/Audio Basics. I’ve put it through the “test” with a few dirtier old LPs from the 70s and 80s. What an incredible job this little machine does – the LPs looked and sounded virtually brand new when played on my Oracle turntable. To top things off, Ben provided me with and asked me to try their “Clean Sound” Record Cleaner Fluid and Wash Fluid combo. So I cleaned an LP with the Clean Sound Cleaner Fluid, vacuumed it with the Okki Nokki, then used the Clean Sound Wash Fluid, and vacuum it. All I can say is WOW! The sonic enhancement was spectacular (I must state that in addition to cleaning with the machine, I remove any residual static from the LP with a very high quality anti-static device – the Furutech destat III – but the Okki Nokki seems to do most of the work – the anti-static device is the “icing on the cake”). I am so pleased that Ben recommended the Okki Nokki and his Clean Sound fluids. I’m having lots of fun with all, and I’m being rewarded with fantastic sounding LPs. I’m “hooked” as an Audio Basics customer, and particularly so with Ben. They carry everything from great introductory equipment, to extremely high-end audiophile components. Their prices are quite good, and shipping is very prompt and professionally handled. I recommend them highly, and will forever be a loyal customer! Instead he will understand your current stereo setup and make recommendations that will go well with your system. I was looking for some re-issued classical vinyl records on line and was pleasantly surprised that an establishment called Audio Basics was about a 15 minute drive from my residence. Over the the three years or so that I’ve patronized this store, I’ve purchased various products including a higher end turntable and several audiophile vinyls there. Also I’ve come to know the extremely gracious owner / proprietor Ben, (who made it really easy to buy from him with the level of service, attention to detail and competitive pricing on anything you buy), whom I regard as a reputable professional.
