August 28 2019 My husband John and I both had the most marvelous mani/pedi's. Nit performed miracles on my hands and feet while Fatima expertly treated John to his first professional manicure and pedicure. He loved it so much he's coming back with me in September. May 2019 I have the best esthetician at Ashgrove Spa! We chat as she expertly conducts my treatments which makes me feel relaxed and comfortable. I wouldn't have it any other way - Go Nit! October 2019 Another lovely experience at Ashgrove! A quiet and relaxing facial followed by mani/pedi with Nit. Lively discussions between Nit and myself ensure that my time at Ashgrove is enjoyable and professional. I love the welcoming atmosphere the technicians provide to the clients. January 25 2020 How relaxing it is to be able to chat and laugh and just totally relax with Nit while having a marvelous manicure and pedicure. The two hours spent at Ashgrove are a fantastic tonic on chilly winter days. Thanks.

The owner, Marika's attention to detail and European hospitality is second to none. Also thank you for being so caring and wonderful to all we have referred to Ashgrove over the years. An absolutely positive experience with Professional Aesthetician, Nit!! Nit warmly welcomes me at each visit and always takes the time to engage in meaningful conversation, making my Ashgrove experience sincerely joyful. Nit is a highly respectful and relatable professional whose attention to detail and hygienics, along with the care for personal comfort, keep me returning to Ashgrove Spa. I am a relatively new client (with many years of life experience :) and I willingly make the drive from Durham region for Nit’s manicure & pedicure ~ not to mention her honest, consultative, and cheerful approach! She is a genuinely caring, considerate & inclusive professional ~ a blessing to this spa! Andrea is another Professional Aesthetician who deserves recognition for her warmest welcome & bright light! Andrea was my first point of contact at Ashgrove Spa about a month ago when I first contacted the spa. Andrea continues to welcome me at each return and I notice that she is a highly collaborative colleague who offers support to all staff and clients with any task or need. Andrea is a gift to the Ashgrove Spa experience ~ she is always busy improving the day for everyone around her and her efforts deserve celebration because it adds value to my visits (and others’) each time. Great place and good services. However each time I have booked an appointment for a specific facial I ended up getting a different facial and of course much more expensive comparing to what I wanted. You always have the option to say no thanks but I think you should not have to be in that place. It is very uncomfortable and you feel cheap if you say no thanks. When I order a pizza at a restaurant I don't want caviar....instead....

The worst spa l had and bad service I had Lazer Service they burn my body and they charge me a lot for not full body’s service for one section $800, I ask for the refund they told me we pay you for the cream which is $100 we not refund your money this is like a stealing money from customer and l was asking for help please get me back Half of moneys the call manager she’s worth and no respects so bad person to answers the customers , I recommend to the people of Markham is better found somewhere else .

I had the worst shellac manicure today at Ashgrove. I went with two other friends who raved about the place so I was really excited to join them. It started out okay as the tech was friendly but she never asked me what shape I wanted and I noticed after I got home that the shaping was all over the place and none of the nails have the same shape. The paint job was really what caused me concern. I noticed after two coats that it was really uneven so I asked her for a third as she was reaching for the top coat. I was the first one done so While I was waiting for my friends, I was looking at my nails and noticed that there was polish all over my cuticles, the paint job was uneven and that the edges on the side of my nails weren’t straight (gaps were left on the side without polish and the lines were really wavy). I made a mention at the front while I was paying that I really wasn’t happy and she looked at my nails and told me they would fix it. They blamed it on the dark colour pulling away. They got another nail tech (who was supposed to leave for the day) to look at it and she said it should all come off. Another tech looked at it as well and told her just to file down the top layer and repaint/ apply top coat so that is what she did. You can now see areas where she filed down the colour and no new colour or top coat has been applied. My nails look like a mess. After I met my friends outside, the lady who tried to fix them told me that they were going to give me a credit of 50% of the service. I told her I would never be going back and she asked them to refund me half the cost. I am grateful she was lovely and helpful but I am still upset about the situation. I normally do not leave reviews but manicures for me are a splurge and I now have to figure out how to remove this shellac which should have lasted two weeks before I go into the office next week.
