J	Jennifer L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I have been coming to Tsingtao Spa for 4 years now and we love it here. We have been to both the Markham and Vaughan locations but more often we go to the Markham one as it's closer to us. Both locations are extremely clean and they take Covid-19 protocols very seriously which I think is great as it makes both the customers and workers feel safer. The new Markham facility is much larger and they did a great job with the design. The RMTs are all professional and actual RMTs. They are a bit on the pricier side when you also factor in the 15% gratuity but we don't mind as we feel the experience and level of service received, reflects appropriately. They also always give you a tasty tea afterwards which is a nice touch. Getting an appointment is also much easier at Tsingtao because they have a policy where you can only book 2 appointments ahead of time. This is a great policy as other massage places are near impossible to get an appointment. There is a reason we have been loyal customers all these years and will continue to be as long as Tsingtao continues with the level of service we have become accustomed to and appreciate. I would recommend their massage services to anyone out there looking for a professional, relaxing and effective RMT experience.

However I don't agree with the 15% service fee that is charged at the end on the bill and call it a tip. I was charged tax on the service fee as well, is that legal? Don't get me wrong I always tip my masseuse, but this is a turn off that this was mandatory.

The staff were friendly and professional from the telephone booking, to check in and out. My RMT Lu was fantastic! She talked to me about any particular areas of concern before starting and she was thorough and obviously very knowledgeable. I particularly liked the high quality linens that were used, not at all typical. I will definitely be going back.

I loved the cold Jasmine Tea on the way out after my massage, it was a really nice touch. The massage itself however, was not as good as I expected from an RMT. Overall good experience I will have to back and try a different masseuse to give a second chance.

I kept misunderstanding service charge as a add-on service fee, but they just mean the price for the service. You get a pair of slippers to go inside and a nice tea at the end. I had the therapeutic massage which involves the use of elbows and forearms. I like this technique because I feel it really gets into your knots. I was so relaxed afterwards, it really relieved a lot of physical and mental stress that I was experiencing. I read that there is a gratuity automatically added on to the bill. I have no problem with leaving a tip, especially if the service was deserving. I asked if I could give the tip separate from the bill because group insurance companies won't reimburse you for money spent on tips anyways and I prefer to leave a cash tip. They were completely fine with that. My massage therapist was Hannah, and she was very nice and did a great job. I am definitely going back again.

I had really bad lower back pain and hand pain from a bad accident and the professionals here helped provide comfort, relief and improve my flexibility. The staff are knowledgeable and can sense where the tension build up is and even help stretch out your muscles. Really nice deep tissue massage. At the end you get a nice tasty tea! I like it at least. Great value and worth the drive if not from this area. Highly recommend!

The only thing that I am not sure is although they told you that they will add 15% tip on the bill but they add the 15% after tax which most restaurant will do it before tax (understand it's minor and that's why I still give 5 stars)
