Arcadian Loft

Awesome venue for wedding.

Held an evening cocktail here (few times now)- Staff and food are always superb. As luck would have it, our most recent event was on the day of a snowstorm. We were caught in traffic, stuck in a cab, eventually gave up and started walking carrying all our registration material. We get to the venue 20 minutes before our guests are expected to arrive... I’m frantic at this point. I did a quick lap around the venue- everything was set up perfectly (AV, lights, cocktail tables, food station), all ready to go. Passed canapés all waiting to be served. A big thank you to Cliff and team for a phenomenal evening!!

I truly we believe we lucked out with this wedding venue because the staff were superb, the venue itself was a great location and amazing decor and cleanliness, and most importantly of all, the food was spectacular! Bonus was that the price was quite affordable for us!! Overall we were very very satisfied with the experience at Arcadian Loft wand would recommend this venue to all our friends and family members who may be looking for a venue in the future. Guest Experience I believe our guests enjoyed the food and beverage experience very much at Arcadian. We did not hear any complaints and many of our guests kept mentioning how great the food and their experience with staff were. The staff were all very friendly, responsive, and professional. Planning Support I particularly enjoyed the service from the planning support staff. We were very lucky to have Kathleen as our key contact and she helped us out with the planning process from start to finish!! She always responded to my emails within 5 minutes of time and was very calm in her response to my frenziness of a stressed out bride - it was truly astounding. She knew exactly what we needed. Our first contact with her was through a generic email inquiring about the Arcadian Court, and Kathleen responded with all the price and info attached and suggested the Arcadian Loft for us since had a more intimate guest count. Her suggestion fit our needs perfect. Food Quality People enjoyed the food quite a bit, both the passed canapes and the Mediterranean buffet stations (lamb, chicken, sea bream, and polenta, plus three kinds of salad and a variety of sweet treats. We added a late night poutine station and passed sorbets. I think our cost worked out to be around $150 pp for all their food and beverages. We opted for a host bar since our guests do not drink that much (on average they had 4 drinks pp). We got alot of comments back about the poutine station and the passed strawberry sorbets that they custom made for us so we were very glad we ordered that. The quality of the food was still pretty good. However our tasting experience was much more spectacular than the food on the day of the wedding but I considering what happens when you try to cook for 150 people instead of two this was pretty good. We are super happy with our experience with O&B catering our wedding! The con with food is that they exclusively cater for the entire wedding so no outside food or beverages may be brought in, which means that there is quite a high fee for cake cutting if you so choose to bring your own cake in. We opted not to serve cake since they had a pretty good selection of sweets from the dessert table! Venue Layout and Space The venue layout is a bit awkward with the L shape and square tables but since it has floor to ceiling windows throughout the entire floor it has a great view of city hall and looked especially spectacular when the sun was setting and our guests were enjoying their food. There is quite a bit of space for the dance floor/buffet stations and the lobby area is nicely decorated with chandeliers which we loved. The lobby is a bit small for cocktail hour and it was a bit hectic during that hour but it passed quickly and guests were able to enjoy the the loft area and their comfortable seats. The venue itself is difficult to find so it was great that we were able to station a couple of our helpers by the main floors of the elevators to help direct our guests. There is a spectacular bridal suite for use at this venue which I think makes for such a great experience for bride's to touch-up or change (I had two other dresses to change into I was super glad to have a space to do that). The other piece of this venue that I really enjoyed was that there were many many washroom stalls for both men and women ( I think at least 5 for each gender) so there were no waits for our guests to use the bathrooms.

Overall good event. Food is good and atmosphere is gorgeous. The one thing was that we asked multiple times for water to be replaced at our table and they never came back so we had to go through our whole event without refills.
