★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best e bike I've ever seen and owned. Alter Ego Sidekick Fat is the one I own, it is fast, reliable, foldable and very good looking. I have ridden 1000 km or more since I got it a year ago, and it has never given me any problems whatsoever aside from the accessories' screws getting a bit loose. The wheels are thick and they give me a sense of balance and comfort on almost any surface (no ice, no sand). The height is wonderful, the handlebars are tall and that helps with the shoulder pain I used to get with lower handlebars on my other bike. The throttle takes you from 0 to level 5 of velocity in seconds, giving you the boost you need for going uphill or at a green light. It is a bit heavy to pick up, and might be heavier to ride with no assist of the battery. I've never had the battery run out on me, but there's always the possibility of charging it while you wait at a coffee shop or at a friend's house. You need a big and good lock for it, I recommend getting 2, one for the battery, other for the bike. The bike is so eye catching, everyone will want to know where you got it. I love mine and will keep on taking it on adventures around Vancouver!

You are probably overweight, COVID was horrible, buy now think later.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So these guys are pretty great. I had a call with Kyle and had a tonne of questions for him. He gave me a really good tutorial on available models and took the time to answer all of my questions. The best part of the call was that there was no pressure to buy.
The reason I'm giving these guys 5 stars, is because they still treated me well and addressed all of my concerns after we already purchased the item. Most of the time, service falls off after purchase. Honestly, Alterego has been fantastic to deal with, with top notch service from day one. I would have no problem recommending them or their cool products. This scooter is a blast!

If a store doesn't sell something, stating that "kits are useless junk" tells me I want nothing to do with this business. You don't get my business by putting down others.

But I am actually reviewing the customer service which really is top notch. They responded instantly to an issue I had, and then moved mountains to get it resolved as quick as possible. It is quite simply the best customer service I have received. Well done Alter Ego bikes and thank you for all your help.
