J	Janice Primeau on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This group are merely puppy brokers. They have been coming into saskatchewan and stealing puppies from mostly reserves. With no permission from chief or council, nor owners. They have cut off local rescue efforts of groups actually working with these locations. They do not take the adults but only the puppies. I'm sure the volunteers do not understand what their admins are doing, but are good hearted people who are being used the same as the animals. You are not adopting a rescued puppy you are buying from a puppy broker. They are listed and licensed as a Calgary business not a nonprofit rescue. Buyer beware.

The adoption process was thorough and they really ensure the dogs go to their ideal home. We were torn between two puppies and the foster home allowed us to spend extra time with both to make sure we were going to get the puppy that would best fit our home. We adopted Oreo who is now named Lucy and she is just the best puppy and so easy to train! She hardly has any accidents and knows how to sit, lie down, sit pretty, wait, and touch with only being with us for 4 days.The foster home (Bailey) did a wonderful job introducing the puppies to the basics and especially the pee mat training which is making outdoor training a breeze! Would definitely recommend this rescue, where the number one priority is the animal!

C	Candace Ford-Taperek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner of this rescue organization, Dawn devotes her heart and soul to the care and wellbeing of her dogs. I filled out applications at several rescues and Almost Home was the first organization to contact me. Dawn took the time to meet my family and discuss with us what kind of dog would suit us best. After looking at a few, she went to the back and brought out a puppy that she felt had the temperament to work with our current dog and autistic son who can be fearful of dogs. She required that we take some time to go home and discuss. We had other appts that week to meet some dogs at other orgs but I couldn't get the puppy she picked for us off my mind!! She must be a "dog whisperer" because the puppy at Almost Home was exactly the dog we wound up choosing and we couldn't be happier. Dawn held her for us and didn't post her on the website, which was so nice. We were allowed to foster for a few days to be absolutely sure we had made the right choice. She provided a crate, dog bed, full bag of food, and a puzzle bowl. When we decided to adopt a week later, she said we could keep everything! Our puppy came with a full medical history, 3 sets of vaccinations, a microchip, full vet checkup, another free checkup (to be used later) and a $150 rebate for spaying when she is older. We adore our pup and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Almost Home to anyone looking for a new furever friend.

We just had some friends that needed help in an emergency situation and we tried to contact you about 10 minutes ago. The wonderful dogs that are aging will surely go to their death now. PLEASE EDIT YOUR INFORMATION SO THAT NO MORE LIVES ARE LOST. disgusted
T	Thomas Williams on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great rescue, they do their best to save ALL dogs, even dogs that my be considered a "risk". They are however responsible who they match their dogs with. I adopted Scarlett, who was abused by her previous owners. She had bad trust issues. With firm discipline, and lots of love, Scarlett really has changed. Their trainer Cindy is really knowledgable, and is willing to do what ever it takes to help owners train their dogs

The volunteer staff were all so kind and welcoming, Dawn went above and beyond to make sure I found the perfect dog for my family. The entire process was so well planned by the staff and it made for an easy transition for our new pup. Thank you so much Dawn and all of the staff for all of your help!

They were so good and had many nice volunteers working who you could tell loved these fur babies. Nothing but good vibes from this place. I wish I could adopt all of these doggos that need homes.
