Align Property Management - Edmonton

My family and I have been with Align for a few years now and I have received nothing but professional services so far. My experience has yielded the following: services that exceeded my expectations, friendly and responsive, understanding and demonstrated a genuine interest in wanting to resolve issues/challenges promptly. I find them to be very flexible and always try to work with their clients. During the epidemic, Align was most understanding and the entire team worked together to help me and my family meet the challenges in the best possible way. Align Properties is a great company to rent from! We had a very positive, lovely experience working with the staff and highly recommend to our friends. They are responsive and fair. The unit colours are modern yet neutral as well which we were really happy with.

Updated! Would never recommend Align properties to anyone. They may be great when you move into a brand new unit however when you move in to some of there older models they aren't considerate what so ever with any issues, and blame everything on normal wear and tear. The weekend we moved in we had to do quite a bit of cleaning ourselves before we could move anything in. The house was cleaned before our move in however you could tell the job was poorly done. We cleaned the place ourselves no problem. Following this we found broken doors, all toilet seats were falling off, latch on crank open window was broken off and didn't allow you to completely latch and lock window, gum stuck all over the basement floor, vents were loaded with gunk and dust, the deck stairs are falling off. Then came time to wash our clothes, only to find when we opened the washing machine that the seal was covered in black mold. We contacted the company regarding this issue and were told to run a couple cycles with baking soda, vinegar, bleach, etc. We ran the cycles and after about 7 cycles on hot and clean the washing machine was still coming out dirty with chunks of residue being brought out and not draining out of the drum leaving chunks of gray gunk behind. Were supposed to "clean" our clothes in there. A couple months have passed and we're still unable to use our washing machine, the seal has been replaced however the gunk inside the drum remains and we have no idea where it is coming from. At this point Align has called us too high maintenence with our expectafions and say that this is normal for a 6 year old home and there is pretty much nothing else they can do. They knocked down our price for rent for a month being we had to wash our clothes elsewhere however this still does not fix our issue long term and at this point we are stuck for the next year either having to buy our own machine or continue to wash elsewhere or just taking the chance on wrecking our clothes. I would not recommend Align, this is the worst renting experience I've ever had. No care or concern for the matter UPDATE! our washing machine has now been replaced due to the unfortunate matter of it not coming clean. Overall I'm happy I can do my laundry in my home again, that all the issues have been resolved and things are definitely more clear. Thank you.

Align Property Management does a great job of property maintenance - especially noticeable now with their prompt parking lot snow removal and sidewalk clearing. They also send out timely notices and information to help tenants take care of their individual units. Terry

I wish I could take my one star back but google won't allow me. At first sight, the lady that presented the viewing was not proffessional at all and she wasn't even welcoming. I suspected that something was not right. I proved to them that my income was 4000 a month after tax but these people are racists they do all they can to prove how you do not qualify for the apartment only because you are black I provided everything needed for the rental application but they were just doing their wrong math to prove how low my income is, which was different from my actual income. You have to be of white skin to get approved for one of their apartment.

Had a wonderful experience dealing with Align. It’s refreshing to have a company actually follow protocols and standards in this day and age. If you want to deal with professionals this is a great start, Ashley was engaged and kept me up to date. Wouldn’t hesitate to call in Align again!

I've used a few rental agencies here in Edmonton and they were really good, but I had small complaints with each of them. Align Property Management is the first that I've had no issues with. The rent was affordable, the property as described in the ad, and move in was quick and easy. I had a few maintenance issues over the course of the year that I lived in the unit. Each issue was addressed quickly and resolved. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Special kudos to Ashley, the manager, for the expedient move in when I first decided to live in an Align property. I've recently moved in to a new unit with a different company for irrelevant reasons. From move in to move out, I would highly recommend Align.
