We hire Rohit Group of Companies for a couple of projects. We found it extremely hard to communicate with them. The huge concern for us was that they would add charges over and above the estimate they provided on the day of installation on both projects. These extra charges were not disclosed to us before they arrived on the installation date despite the fact they came to our locations to view the job prior to providing us with the written estimates. When we complained to them about these extra charges which were quite a bit of money the service representative as well as the owner or manger was very rude and could not care a less. We regret ever using them and wish we would have chosen one of the other companies in Edmonton that provides prefabricated products. We would not recommend this company to anyone.

It was a good experience on our first place home purchase. they reviewed everything in a simple and easy manner. Daphne and Bonnie were pleasant to deal and are always available if I have questions and Freya made it easy to understand our new home.

Even 1 star is to much for what they deserve. Worst company i have ever had experienced. Sold my house and decided to rent until i figured out things. Moved into a townhouse . Lived there from May 15/16 until Jan15/17. In that time i was broken into at gun point Dec/16. After calling the company to advise. Nothing was ever done for security measures nor did they see if i was ok. In Oct/17 my private information(banking info , rent history, etc.) Was emailed to other tenants. They brushed it off as human error. At that point they had broken my lease and i just wanted out of there. Dec. 15 I gave a 30 day notice to vacate the premises Jan.15. Which i did. I kept the place very clean. And i also cleaned it when i moved out. When i moved in i paid a 1700.00 dd plus a 500.00 non refundable pet fee. So i did not clean the carpets. The pet fee i paid would of covered that. I had absolutely no holes in the walls except tacks which i used to hang pictures. I just received a bill for almost 4400.00 in painting and cleaning. They also charged me rent for last half of January and all of February. I fully recommend stayibg as far away as you can from this Edmonton company. They will screw you up the ***. And then some. Terrible staff and only look at $$$ not customer service. STAY AWAY!!!!! .

This is really what a designer magazine worthy home from Rohit actually looks like. Extremely poor quality and workmanship. Expect everything to start falling apart after the one year warranty. Leaking roof, electrical issues with flickering lights, mold in attic from improper ventilation, driveway in 5 large pieces from majoring cracks,exterior door frames wrapping, baseboards coming off, bathroom sink falling out due to no anchors being installed, stairs creaking, floor uneven in upper floors and the list goes on. Warranty staff are only good at deflecting concerns and responding disrespectfully (forget about anything being fixed they also have ANHW in their pocket). BUYER BEWARE from this company who is only worried about profits and taking your money. Read the Allard community Facebook page for many more horror stories from Rohit built homes. They cut corners at every step to save a penny.

Rohit, as a company, has ruined the home buying experience. They have proven that customer satisfaction is irrelevant and seem genuinely uninterested in doing the right thing. We were actually blocked from entering in warranty requests for repairs to our siding, concrete, roof and deck before being essentially told to take a hike because we : a) requested to be present when contractors were to be on our property and b) for asking the concrete contractor to cease the repairs they were doing when it was clear their solution was causing more problems than it was solving. No one has called me to discuss my concerns despite my requests to communicate with managementΒ  - any response has been from behind a computer screen. As a woman, even working in the construction industry, I have NEVER been treated so poorly and spoken to like I'm an ignorant woman not worth respect. I recorded conversations with various representatives because my initial treatment set the tone for the months to come. I even had to go to the trouble of adding my husband to the title because Rohit stated they didn't have to deal with him - accurate, but wouldn't have been necessary if I was treated fairly...it took one week after that before they refused to help us with anything. Our roof has dozens of exposed and rusted nails, the shingles incorrectly laid such that a roof that would have lasted 20 years won't protect our home for more than two - confirmed by an independent roofing contractor. The garage concrete is heaving - even the repairs using quickset that should be 10 times stronger, cracked and crumbled after two days of application. I'm not an expert but brought in someone who is.Β  He reported that the original pour was incorrect from the base through to the pour itself (too much water) - not my opinion based on limited experience but confirmed by an independent contractor. The local superintendent himself admitted that my home, in addition to two neighbors, were expected to be problem homes right from the framing stage - needless to say this didn't help the siding issues. We have entire sections loose (still), many areas were left cut short and cracked siding is still present after two attempts at having the concern addressed. None of the contractors coming in would listen to where to find these problems and Rohit very clearly instructed me to stop sending photos of the damaged/problem areas. To date, we still haven't had anyone look at or address the deck that is entirely out of level - stairs installed after the sod leaving gaps and not plumb, footing cracked and brackets that aren't even the right size. I cannot believe that a homebuilder is allowed to continue doing business in this fashion. Everyone was super friendly until a request for warranty repair was made..."we will be good to you if you're good to us"...this from the superintendent about one week after moving in. I thought this was about delivering a product that was paid for in full - not about receiving favors on the off chance they aren't too inconvenient. Had I known this was the treatment that I could look forward to, I would have instructed my lawyer to never released the hold back funds. Now that they have all of their money, the customer service folks are all too ready to shake us off onto Alberta New Home Warranty, which we were going to pursue with the concrete pad given that the repairs offered were clearly not going to solve the problem. Not one person Rohit has bothered to follow up with me (other than to essentially fire us as a customer), or to address how I personally have been treated. I would never purchase another home from Rohit nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. In fact I feel responsible to warn potential buyers. I'm sure that there have been other builds with success stories attached to them, but in talking to more than half a dozen home owners in our area, it's clear that theyΒ  have experienced the same poor treatment and lack of professionalism, coupled with a distinct lack of ownership and responsibility in the delivered product.

I have recently bought townhome at Larkspur Landing by Rohit Communities. Being first-time home buyer, I was quite uncertain if I will be able to get home at affordable price. but, I am really thankful to Shawn who helped me getting a great home. He did a fantastic job in addressing my concerns and issues. Also, he helped me with all paperwork and the steps to work on before moving in the house. Shawn is a thorough professional who provided timely and accurate information. I am really satisfied with the services I got from him. I highly recommend family and friends to contact Shawn before purchasing a home.

I just phone the service department to fix my light bulb on the stairs area which needs a ladder to change the bulb but the lady I just spoke with just hang up on me when I asked the number of the manager. She refused to give me the number of the manager of the maintenance service department and insisted me that she can’t do anything. I don’t believe that they don’t have a service department to fix these kind problems cos I’m remember I call them to fix my light on the dining area. I don’t understand why that unprofessional customer service doesn’t know she’s doing or perhaps she doesn’t care at all. So disappointed. Future home buyer don’t go to Rohit at all. If they can do these to one of their home owner then for sure they will do it to others too
