★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nothing but problems with my Modern Hunter. I sent it back and was told there is nothing wrong with it.
No home loads where shot out of the gun before it was sent to you. A $5000 rifle should not need hundreds of rounds fired before it starts to cycles properly. The bolt locking forward with a live round in it needing to disassembled the gun to remove the round is a bit unsafe

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sent my rem 700 in for bolt knob threading and installation, as well as recoil lug alignment and to have them install an ergo tactical deluxe flat top grip. Shortly after two weeks my rifle was "ready." When I picked it up I noticed that the grip they installed wasn't the grip I was looking for, they just installed another grip identical to the grip I previously installed just with the beaver tail knicked off with a hacksaw.. When I got home, I ended up noticing that my recoil lug was never aligned. It doesn't even look like the barrelled action had been removed from the chassis. Recoil lug still had factory grease on it from previously.
I must add that they did an good job on the bolt knob threading+install

These guys are great, the work they completed for me was right on point, I told them about a hunting trip coming up and gave them a small window to complete the project, and they did complete it. They were helpful with any and every question I had and were always on top of whatever was needed in this regard. They are top notch and I highly recommend them for any smithing needs!
