Great staff, confusing when you walk in because there isn't much direction and sometimes there isn't even someone at the desk. But they are busy and they seem like angels working with animals.

Very very upset with APARC, just recently adopted a cat through them. Found out when I got it home he was in a litter that tested positive for ringworms. When I picked up the kitten there was patches of fur missing on his skin but I was assured he came out with the vet in a clean bill of health. I was told after numerous times of calling that finally was told it’s probably ring worms. I’m very upset because I paid over 100$ to purchase what I thought was a healthy kitten. He’s been to the vet now 3 times and is not getting better. Myself and my boyfriend have gone to the doctor and diagnosed with ring worm ourselves. They said they will pay for the vet bills until he is better, but I was told they won’t pay for the cleaning of the couches or give my money back for all this trouble. I’ve already missed a couple of days of work as well as paying for medication. They offered to take the cat back but after looking after the cat and falling in love with him it’s hard to give him back. I’ve been cleaning and sanitizing everything. I was told I needed to shampoo all my couches, I’ve phoned and have spoken to the manager several times. I was told that they won’t pay to get my couches cleaned and was told to bleach my couches. Who on earth bleaches their couches? Very very frustrated and upset. Just a warning to whoever purchases an animal from there make sure it’s healthy before you take it home.

Awesome shelter. Got my cat from here. Sometimes go in and cuddle with the kittens. They’re always helpful and the place is always clean. Love when they have the book sale too.

We've been looking into adopting a dog and the staff here have been so wonderful. I've had problems with other adoption agencies in town just acting rude and generally unpleasant, but from the very start at APARC they were unbelievably kind and accommodating. They clearly care very much for the animals that come through their shelter, and they care about finding a great home for each one. They will also work with you to help you find the right fit and will do anything to help you and your animal bond and be comfortable. Even their foster homes are wonderful and work hard to help the dogs flourish and be comfortable, as well as giving them basic training & working on socializing them. It's clear that everyone involved in this business loves animals, which is exactly the type of shelter I want to be supporting!

I adopted a Amazing 3 month old Puppy recently and the Staff were absolutely amazing. From the application process to pick up, 5 star. They are so upbeat and informative and definitely made the process as smooth as possible. I am very appreciative of everything you are!

Tried to adopt a cat from them, more so went the foster route to make sure whatever cat I get works with my cat at home, and while they could not have prevented their cat attacking me, they were extremely rude and unsympathetic when I told them I about it. She legitimately said "why are you giving me attitude right now" when I was trying to explain why I don't want this cat anymore. I also said the term feral, which isn't completely correct for this cat, and she felt it was an appropriate time to explain to a very upset person that there's a large difference between feral and barn cat. Only reason I give two stars is because D'Angelo is nice as heck and really a cool guy who will help you try to find the right cat. Don't want anything to do with the lot of them again after this though.
