P	Paul Christensen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ November 10th.I called ahead, and informed the employee on hand that I had a cheque from Worksafe. I had just started a new job that was unfortunately graveyard shift, and had missed the.bank. I was told to 'come on down, we'll cash your cheque'. I used the little bit of fuel I had left to get there, then was informed 'sorry, we can't confirm this cheque'. The agent on hand called the owner to try to get him to help me, but when he told them I normally deposit in my bank, he refused to help. That waste of time and fuel made it so I had no ability to go elsewhere, and then had to walk to work and home the next two days.(Remembrance day everyone was closed) I was so mad that I left my backpack in the store. The ONLY positive is that they called me to tell me I had, and that I could pick it up in a couple of days.
M	Maggie McLeod on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charged me 40$ to cash a government cheque , when I asked about it being quite expensive he told me it was standard and cheaper than other places (which isn't true because I can cash it for 10$ in surrey). He looked visibly confused and was showing me other people's cheques asking if I ever get those, I assume to figure out what kind of cheque I was actually cashing. He counted the money, gave me the cash and I left. I called today after consulting with some family who told me it shouldn't have been that expensive, and he claimed that he gave me the option to reverse cashing the cheque in that moment & asked if I wanted to proceed with the transaction. This DID NOT happen. If I was given the option to reverse the transaction I would've taken it so I could save 30$ and go to the place in Surrey. Not only did he fabricate a story over the phone with me, but he was consistently interrupting me and talking over me. It was clear that he knew he was in the wrong but wasnt willing to take responsibility. I would've been more than happy to forgive his mistake and continue being a customer but he refused to own up to it and acted like a scared child caught stealing candy. Absolutely pathetic. Will not be going here ever again, and if you want to save a bunch of money cashing cheques, go to cash mart in Surrey! Friendly, fast, professional and HONEST service! Edit to respond to the owner: there is no "misunderstanding" in my review. I explained exactly what happened in full detail, you're just upset that I exposed you and gave people a better suggestion for a business that wont be as unprofessional as you. You had a chance to rectify your mistake and you chose to act like a fool. I wont be wasting my time on this anymore.
