First, i have never posted a review before....however i feel i need to in this instance. Our cat passed away nearly a month ago - we took him to this emergency vet clinic at 1am and the dr on duty literally laid out a brochure on top of his body and asked (pushed) us into making a decision on what paw print/ashes we wanted - we were both distraught and crying and all he cared about was getting us to pay a high price. 500.00 later...the next morning i looked at the receipt and noticed that they made a mistake on our cats name for the urn. I immediately called and notified them and they started saying it was too late...it took a WEEK to get this changed. To this date we still have not received the paw print OR ashes. Terrible dr and staff. They were not caring during such a terrible and emotional time. They do not answer the phone professionally, at times just saying hello, wasn't even sure it was the vet clinic! Will NOT be going back to this place EVER! I would give no stars if possible.

Had to take my young puppy in. She was vomiting and her whole body was wobbling like jello. Of course this deeply concerned me. Staff were friendly enough, although I was not impressed when the cost kept changing after I denied over night care as the doctor stated my girl was not acute enough to warent the added expense. My words not the vets. I say that because he told me she had no temp, heart sounded fine and she was much better than when I'd left to take her there. She had vomited a couple times before I got her in. The vet wanted to do charcoal even though she had nothing in her stomach. I refused. I agreed a blood panel, x-rays of her belly and interstitial fluid ( which leaked out by the time I got home) 3 different meds. Comprising of antibiotic, due to repeat in 12 hours, antinausia and injection and injecection for stomach acid. Total cost was over 1200.00$ When I refused overnight stay, they tried everything they could, to get more money out of me. At the latest minute, while settling my "final" payment, the receptionist tried to add anther $170 +.00 to the bill on top of the over 1200.00 I was already paying. I in closing, I would like to warn all pet owners to stay away from this clinic! They are only there to grab your money!

Wasn’t impressed with the services my puppy received. She had jumped of the couch and slid on the floor and wasn’t able to move I phoned this office and then brought her in . I waited for almost 30 minutes and I was the only one there . Didn’t really check her out only took her temperature and never checked the rest of her body they wanted to do x rays which the cost was $700 for a 13 pound dog the vet said it looked like it could be a spinal injury only by looking at her and not touching her and feeling her to see if there was any associated pain to go with that claim . I left with some pain meds and a $400 bill . I ended up going to another vet on Monday morning the vet I saw there was amazing she did a full exam and we discovered when she hit the floor she hit her face and gave herself a concussion as to the swelling around her eye and the redness. I will never go here again!

I usually never put a review. My dog had a very minor problem that would have been solved with a simple calculation and a little bit of knowledge (she ingested something) and they said they have to charge me $500 to induce a vomit without telling me that such a small amount for such a big dog wouldn’t even require any of these procedures. Luckily my friend gave me a call and did the calculation for me otherwise I would have wasted my money for something this little. I wish we had better emergency clinics here in abbotsford. Save your money and do not go there.

I am absolutely appalled by this ver clinic. The first experience. Bringing my 1.5 year of lab that was having some issues on a Sunday night Nothing life threatening but still wanted to die our due diligence. To have him checked out He had a slight fever and was mildly dehydrated. Vet insisted we run $1400 worth of tests just to make sure Didn’t offer water, or any solution to fever Got blood tests, dog was fine after a day. Second situation was tragic 7 week old puppy that was previously diagnosed with pneumonia. Became direly short of breath in the middle of the night Rushed him to the clinic as I was worried he didn’t have enough time to make it to Langley. Vet again requested to run tests ( all in which were done 12 hours previous ) suggested what the cause was , ( aspirational pneumonia due to vomiting ) But when asked what can be done after spending $1400 on tests. I was told he would still have to go to another clinic capable of surgery Pup died rushing him to Langley. This outfit are purely money grabbing crooks

I’ll say this…as person who loves their animal in Abbotsford we really only have one emergency vet to β€œtrust” if their ever is an emergency. I promise you everyone if you don’t have an actual major emergency DO NOT GO HERE!! This is a major money grab. I left and drove as fast as I could to a Langley one and it is life changing. No need to go into detail but I promise you this place will not be in the best care for your pet or you, just your money. Discussing is all I can say and not sure how they are stay open. I’d give a zero if this site would let me.

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who truly cares for their pet. I brought my dog here because he managed to cut himself deep enough to require a couple of stitches, nothing too major. Due to it being late in the night on Christmas eve and my regular vet being closed I had to bring him here. The receptionist at the front had little to no knowledge about basic care for animals and was not properly educated on how to do vitals. She just jotted down whatever she pleased due to not being able to use the stethoscope adequately. When the doctor came in and looked at the injury, he stated that he would have to sedate my dog under general anesthesia and run blood panels for a minimal cut which was very excessive because my dog was not bleeding profusely nor acting abnormal. He provided an estimate of $1300. Upon asking why he couldn't do the stitches without sedation, he couldn't provide a proper answer. We then asked for him to at least sanitize the area and bandage it up for which he provided an estimate for about $300 only to have them do a lousy job that came undone the moment we left the door. He then wanted to give us antibiotics for additional $200. Consulted my regular vet who stated that the pricing they gave to us was unbelievable and only a minor numbing anaesthetic would be necessary if need be. I would recommend contacting the Animal ER clinic in Langley as they provided us various solutions for home care over the phone if we could not bring him in and answered any questions or concerns we had. Very disappointed, they only care about filling their pockets and not about the wellbeing of the animal.

My dog had her eye ripped open by another dog that attacked her, the vet was very informative of the pros / cons between having stitches and leaving the eye to heal on its own. We opted for her to have stitches and the entire staff took such good care of her. Her eye was stitched back together very well and I know she’s going to have a good recovery. The vet was also very clear and informative about her aftercare and healing process. If I ever have another emergency I will definitely be bringing her back here.
