I first met Jayne over 12 years ago when we were both walking our dogs in the neighbourhood one winter morning. As dog walkers generally do, we got chatting about many things and I started to cough as I was getting over a cold. I met Jayne again a few weeks later and my cough was still lingering, as it tends to do. She picked up on that immediately and said 'you need to strengthen your lungs'. She graciously offered a complimentary class to see how I liked it. Well, after one class, I was hooked on Iyengar Yoga, Jayne Smiley and Yoga Junction and have been attending weekly classes ever since. Her classes are challenging, always changing, fresh and with a personal touch for each person in class. Many times I would leave the studio feeling the same as I had after a 90 minute massage! I can't imagine life without her classes and would highly recommend anyone looking for an experience like this to give it a try. You never know, you might get hooked too!

Jane is an extraordinary yoga teacher. She has a unique combination of intelligence and insight that allows her to tailor a practice individually to each of her students. She has been enormously helpful to me in managing my occasional back pain issues and helping me maintain flexibility and strength. Highest recommendation for this wonderful teacher.

Jayne Smiley and yoga junction have literally saved my life. When I was working through my first year of practice as a lawyer, Jayne's teaching tethered me to breath and moments of rest. When I then had my law practice interrupted by 3 concussions, she taught me about quieting the brain and nourishing the body. She has taught me how to open my lungs and spine to breath. Yoga Junction is indubitably the most well-equipped studio to help people dealing with injury, imbalance or unusually high periods of stress. The practice and Jayne have been, without doubt, the strongest force in my healing. - Roselyn

I have had the honour and fortune of being one of Jayne’s students for more than ten years. Some of the many things that impress me with Jayne is her thorough understanding of the human body and mind and her skill at explaining and demonstrating in detail the many Iyengar yoga postures. In addition to that, Jayne is very perceptive and adaptable to individual needs, and will offer alternative postures when appropriate so the students obtain the benefits of the postures at their own β€œbus stop".

Jayne is a wonderful Iyengar yoga teacher. She works with everyone at their own level. She'll help you continue your yoga practice when you're recovering from injuries or surgery so that you get stronger and heal. Now that we're only working together on Zoom, her classes remain both challenging and fun. She gives you feedback as you work through the asanas in each class. Jayne has been my teacher for over 5 yrs. and now, during the pandemic, has become a life-saver.

I love Jayne’s Iyengar yoga classes on Zoom so much I practice 3 mornings a week! She personalizes the classes to my abilities so I feel safe enough to try new things. I am energized, stronger, calmer and more patient thanks to yoga. It’s great for my balance which is needed out walking in the winter. When a problem arises with my 66-year old body Jayne listens to me and offers sound practical advice. She is a wonderful teacher and I’m very grateful to be able to participate during Covid lockdown.

I LOVE Jayne’s yoga classes! I am stronger, calmer and more confident in my body since joining Jaynes zoom classes. These classes are seriously challenging physically yet I feel supported, encouraged and coached to my maximum potential. The zoom set up looks great and sounds great. The class sizes are small enough for individual attention and there is always time after class to ask questions or get additional support.
