★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a gem of a place ..if you like old historical building you're in for a treat .room on the third level was updated ..clean linens and well kept rooms ...bit of a work in progress but very lovely and the room prices are more then reasonable ...the history is amazing..1800's ladies hosting establishment ..if you know what I mean ..if the rooms could the a story ...the lady that runs the place is super nice ...I would definitely come back...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is such a charming place! We unfortunately stayed only one night, but enjoyed it so much! The room and shared bathrooms were clean and in good condition. So was the common area (kitchen/livng room). There is a hot tub too! Our host was welcoming and gave us all information we needed. There are no dining options in Ymir, but the town of Salmo is just 10km down the road and offers a couple of dining options. We hope to return to the Palace Inn and bring our friends too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner is pleasant and easy to deal with. More rustic (or run down depending on your perspective) than the pictures portray. The hot tub was a nice touch, and since the tv was so old that we couldn't hook up an Xbox or Android tv box, we spent our time in the hot tub. Although I won't be back, I would recommend this for the traveler /snowboard/ski trip group on a budget. I just came expecting a little more for the money.
Belinda is a gem though. Very accommodating and pleasant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel/hostel. Really enjoyed staying there last year travelling between Lethbridge and Vancouver. Only stayed a night just to get some rest before the rest of the trip. I would definitely recommend it for travellers passing through. I'd like to come again and stay for a few days to take in the fresh air and relax. It's an old "wild west" type hotel. Private rooms, but shared bathrooms. has a hot tub on the main floor next to a nice little yard. It's so nice to get out of the hot tub, walk on the grass in your bare feet and deeply breath in the fresh, mountain air.
